I've suffered from ED for a 4-5 years now, fully down to stress levels courtesy of bi-polar disorder. Luckily my OH doesn't get upset or mind that sometimes it just disappears, we have somewhat alleviated the problem by just extending the foreplay to make sure she is as close to orgasm as possible before we think about penetration.

The worst bane in life for me are bloody condoms. I've never like using them to begin with, even the super thin ones leave me desensitized to the point I don't feel like I'm having sex, but then add ED to the mix and there are many occasions where the simple act of geting a condom on sees my soldier laying down his weapon for the night.

@Oneofeach I'd suggest looking into delay creams etc, I find they can be slightly helpful in getting an erection and keeping it, also trying to eliminate stress from life is a big one(easier said then done I know) It's amazing how the human brain is capable of so much, even sending rockets into space, and yet a simple bit of stress or even a stray thought like "have i put weight on, does xxx still fancy me?" can derail the connection from arousal to erection.

OH has suffered with ED for a couple of years, caused by meds prescribed for depression. Situation worsened due to anxiety about performance problems. We have coped, adapted and discussed the situation. Now things are improving mentally and physically. Keeping the lines of communication open and maintaining physical contact and intimacy worked for us.

Very happy to say my partner only suffers from ED once in a blue moon now! :)

I think things are much more in our heads then we sometimes relies.

Get him to go. It's a big hurdle for a guy to admit that he is'nt functioning down there, but it happens to us all.

Mine came on because of a back/spine injury, I'm a bit like 'Christmass lights' that were working the last time you used them but now you have to play with them for ages till they work. lol

The Doc was quick to prescribe Viagra, they give an erection allright. But they turned me into a bit of an animal!! Two hour sessions that left her sore. (Not Nice)

I use Cialis now, (The Weekender) it stays in the system for a lot longer, so I don't feel as if I have a deadline to make!! We can take our time, and the side efects arnt as bad.

Get him to go, he has to find out what's causing the problem.

I agree. If he doesn't want to see the Gp,then there are other options. He can follow a self diagnosis questionnaire offered by one of the large chain stores of chemists. On completion and diagnosis, he will be able to buy via grateful.

Another option would be to try a C ring. This will help him to sustain an election for a much longer period.

This may help type in ED into a search engin there you will find very useful suggestions personally I have cut down on coffee (I drink about 30 cups a day) started eating better things like fish dairy products etc. don't watch porn find a site that allows people to write about it you'll get more from reading than watching.

try massage using massage oils and scented candles.

My problems with ED were around tiredness, over masturbating and feeling a pressure to perform.

I felt the need to make sure that my OH came before I could and consequently if it was taliking a long time I would go soft.

Bizarrely what has improved things for us was chastity play. Having my manhood locked in a cage meant that I wasn't matsurbating as often & didn't have the worry about 'performing'. I could spend my time on slowly and gently stimulating my OH and found that she was more relaxed too as she could literally lie back and enjoy without feeling that she had to 'perform' too.

And when I am released the sensitivity is intense, hard ons are very hard, they last longer and we are both satisfied.

Now I know that this is probably not everyones cup of tea but it works for us.
