We talked about trying a cock ring for the staying hard issue, and I've just ordered the Big Daddy adjustable cock ring.. but the reviews there differ in opinion about if a cock ring makes things more sensitive or less.

Who can tell me this? You see cockrings advised for premature ejaculation, but then others say it makes them harder and *more* sensitive, and I'm not sure what to believe. Obviously in our situation added sensitivity would be very welcome!

My experience of non-vibrating cock rings are that it takes longer for me to come and although helps keep the blood in the shaft so it's still insertable can make my cock softer. However different people get different effects I suppose.

Have you tried vibrating cock rings? These are brilliant for both you and him, and as they're vibrating I'd imagine the extra stimulation would keep him hard as well as getting you off which in-turn would make him feel better and hornier and possibly helping him stay hard. I find the vibrating ones make me come quicker and do definately make things more sensitive.

We just usually use the durex ones but I'm sure there's a cheaper option on Lovehoney.

This might not be a cock ring issue, it might have to do with the way he's become accustomed to masturbating.

Well I'm a big fan of cock rings they def make me harder but as for making me cum quicker i dont think they do. As for the durex range - the ultra is rubbish so don't bother but LH do a BASIC range which are brilliant and they get cheaper the more you buy!! Very easy and comfortable to use.

 Mr HP -  Cock rings make me harder (stiffer) but less sensitive. So I don't think they would be quite what you're looking for.   I would suggest abstaining from masturbating for a week and then making love rather than fucking (gentle thrusting rather than the old fast in and out) to give a different sensation.

As for cock rings, I think a vibrating cock ring does help me to reach orgasm, but one thing I quite like doing is to put another vibrating cock ring around my balls too!

Maybe it's worth a try, but just remember that if it doesn't work for you two then it's not a big deal because different people like different things!

Cock ring makes the penis bigger, I guess it has more blood in it. And that means more sensitivity, certainly.
When the penis is so extremely big and erect with the penis ring on, its shaft is as bare as it can be, getting as much touch it can. It should be a good thing! You can also try tingling lubes (mint or heat).

If you buy cock rings, think of my advice, I have quite a lot of experience of this.
-Normal loops without any bullets or clit tinglers are just fine as they are.
-If the ring does have a vibrating part or a tingler or anything, check if it has two rings, the other for the cock and the other for the balls. It must have these two loops or otherwise it will rotate because of the tingler's weight and you'll spend the whole sexing session just turning the tingler back up. It won't stay in place if it's just one loop, you'll need the testicle loop for it to stay in the right place!!!
I've experienced so many disappointments with this and now I finally understand.
