There are 2 types of vaccination, basically at least in my home country. One protects from HPV 16 a 18 and the other I am not sure right now, but it protects against 3. And no, it does not protect you from even all types of dangerous HPV. I read somewhere that types 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, and 59, so you only get protection against few of these.
secondly, if you decide to go for vaccination, you should be still very young, in my country you are without chance to get one if you are above 25, preferably you have to get it before starting your sex life. After the start of sex life, the chances are higher it will fail. But here a guy can get the vaccination, if you can pay it, at least here. And its relatively expensive. and not sure how long it protects you. I dont think anyone really knows, but I may be wrong. Someone says for life, but I also came accross 10-15 years. basically, ask a doctor to see your options.
