Anal sex!!!!!!! But don't want to get embrassed about the mess Tips please

Hi everyone just want some tips really I don't mind anal sex but I don't like the mess if you know what I mean (poo) just wanted to know if anyone had had any tips on cleaning yourself before hand or do some of you just go with the flow and get on with it lol x

Personally I've never experiences any "mess" but if your worried you could always invest in a douche to use beforehand and lay down some towels during sex :)

I find a douche does the job really well. Draw a basin of warm water, lube the nozzle of the douche with a water-proof lube then simply fill the douche and squirt it in (they typically dispense about 150ml at a time which is about perfect) and expel. Repeat perhaps 10 times. I find that using the douche to put air in and expelling allows you to get rid of the last bit of water albeit rather noisily. If you are worried about the retained water allow an hour or so for the excess to be absorbed (the rectum is apparently quite good at this!)

Finish off by putting in some lube with a syringe or lube shooter. I use 4 or 5ml of Liquid Silk and 0.5 to 1ml of Pjur Original silicone.

A douche is a very good idea, but you need to give yourself sometime between the douche and having sex because it can be too much for your bum. As long as you are regular and in decent health you should be ok, just make sure you listen to your body and go to the toilet when you need to

I recommend taking a softener the night before and following up with an enema or douche beforehand. Should do the trick. :)

I cant say either of us have ever used a douche and we have never had any problems in that area but i guess if you want to be sure then the advise above will work a treat!

I'm into deep anal play. I flush out thoroughly before playing. For simple penetration a short session with an anal douche should be enough to clean you out. Don't use chemical (fleet) enemas though. These work by  irritating the rectum and will reduce enjoyment. Stick to plain water for douching. Douching will also help your bum to relax. 

 Anal douches are great to clean yourself up, also just going to the loo previously is fine.. To be honest, i never have problem with the mess, its fun, its taboo and my partner goes mental for it! just enjoy it and dont be squeamish :)

I can honestly say, neither my husband or me have had any `mess' through anal play.

So i am guessing that some people do have accidents during anal play?

I think it depends how quick after going to the loo you try.  Also depends what you have eaten before.

I played Saturday about 20 minutes after and it was all clean, but they say that it takes an hour for the butt to self clense.

Usually a good poo will empty the rectum. But those of us who tend to constipation find that quite often the rectum is not entirely emptied. For those who have no trouble with emptying the rectum, you're lucky, everybody else has to douch.

If, however, the penetration is deep, i.e. right up to the top of the rectum and beyond, the contents of the colon may well come down. In which case an enema really is necessary precaution.

Furthermore, one of the ways to enjoying anal penetration is to use the same muscles that make you poo to push against the penetrating penis. He experiences this as squeezing, while for the recipient partner it relaxes the rectal muscles and makes the experience even more pleasurable. However, squeezing will stimulate the natural action of the bowels and possibly result in a new poo coming down.

I therefore take the view that a clean out is the best way of being confident that you are not going to make a mess and that therefore you will be relaxed enough to enjoy the sex.

What do you mean by a softener? Do you mean something to loosen up your poo and help empty your bowels properly in advance?

 its great to have a bit of anal play, but double dipping like you see in porno is fun.. but can lead to infection... but as my OH said 'was soo worth it' hahah

I like the feeling of being untouched and the first touches by my partner feeling electric, so I think a douche would spoil that for me.

I actually find the opposite!  As long as you've left enough time after douching to 'settle', I find I'm more sensitive, and feel a lot more.  I guess it makes sense, there's no gunk to play 'buffer' and dull the sensation.

Although I tend to do it well in advance, as in hours.  As long as you don't poo between douching and play, and it's not like a whole day later, then you have the cleanliness without having the just-been-touched feeling.

I totally agree Berry. Doing all that prep takes the fun out of it. As long as both of us has had a bath then there isnt much to worry about. We dont even try and poo beforehand.. maybe we are lucky but weve never had any accidents!

Just to echo the views above - the preparation spoils the spontaneity. When I want anal sex, it's usually in the heat of the moment - I just want to do it, there and then. If you plan for it, when the moment comes, the impact is lost.

If you're *really* squeamish about poo, then maybe anal sex isn't really for you. It can be icky and smelly sometimes, but then so can all good sex.

That said, I've had anal sex, oh, I don't know, hundreds of times probably, and only twice I have had an accident. Sometimes when I'm doing it I get the feeling I really need to poo - and almost always I can control and ride that feeling. A couple of times I got that wrong, with rather embarrassing consequences, but I must stress that is very rare.

Usually all you need to do is have a good wash around there, but I obviously need the loo, I do my business and then have a wash and wait for a bit. My partner is a bit more fastidious - she insists that she always has a poo before we get down to it, just to be on the safe side! Which I have to say, rather takes the romance out of proceedings...

If there is an area of sexuality that needs preparation it's anal.

If I'm topping I really don't want to feel a bit of poo in the way, and if I'm bottoming (which I usually am) I really like the feeling that however far I let myself go with the pleasure, nothing really stinky is going to happen.

I have had "accidents" in the past and I can only say it really spoils the evening.
