In a BDSM context, its someone who may be Dominant or who may be Submissive.

Depends on the context, but if someone describes themselves as a Switch, they're saying they like playing both sides of their preferred flavour of BDSM. Most likely this person enjoys both spanking and being spanked, say, or both tying and being tied up, Master and slave.

A lot of people try the "other" side just so they know what is going on with their favourite kink, but in the end will have a clear preference for either dishing it out or taking it; a Switch will actively enjoy both, and split their time more evenly between roles.

    Hope this helps.

It could be the name of a band, I suppose. You never can tell.

Or there's a BBC youth programming strand called Switch.

Don't automatically assume it's kinky, is what I'm trying to say...
