Getting your bikini waxed isn't as bad as you think, ok yes it is mildly painful, but take a couple of ibruprofen before you have it done and that should help. And i'd also recommend exfoliating to prevent those wonderful red bumps down there.

I also read something about a womans pain threshold doubling midway through her cycle so look on your calender and work out when might be best to take the plunge and get it down.

Using talcum powder helps to stop the wax sticking to your skin too.

Alternatively, products that dissove the hair such as Nair, tend to be a good short term smooth fix. They just smell a bit funny!

At the risk of sounding 'corny', I have a personal shaver! My hubby is happy to spend time on me twice a week with his 3 blade razor. We find it best just after a shower (softens the hair) with a fresh razor and plenty of shaving cream for sensitive skin; there's never any stubble, nicks or bumps left afterwards.

Maybe I am lucky but I have never been left with a rash or razor burn. After a quick wash, a little moisturiser works wonders.

Waxing scares me and I am yet to come to terms with another woman tugging and tearing at me down there.

I use a Gilette Fusion and shaving foam.. I always think mens shavers are better. Then I exfoliate after it seems to work against ingrown hairs a little.

I am interested in waxing but i can never be bothered to grow the hair long enough I always end up just shaving it off again

I use Dove soap and my trusty Gilette Venus vibrance and afterwards I use a vanilla body cream for lovely smooth skin

Hi, I always use hair removal cream and i wouldn't use anything else, its pain free and gives great results!

However you should always exfoliate the areas first (gently of course)

ive been shaving mine all off for years now and i find that i dont get any rashes or ingrowing hairs at all, it seems the longer ive been doing it my body has got used to it and so doesnt get irrated. and its become so much of my rutean that it really doesnt bother me about having to keep doing it.

i use the wilkinson sword intueastion razzor which ive found to be the best one out there

Either I shave or get the OH to do it!! It doesn't take long for the itching to calm down, and it no longer bothers me, plus there are no ingrowing hairs as I must be the exfoliation queen.
