On the anonymouse voting front, I just had a thought. Since we can already say whether or not we found a review useful (at the bottom of the review) that would serve as a way for everyone to vote. Just make a note of how many 'votes' there were before the official voting goes up and take that off at the end. I'm  not sure whether you need to be a member or not though, so it could be open to tampering. It's a start though.

Just think how many reviews are submitted each day - do people ever read all of them? Some will go unread and therefore unvoted for even if they are brilliant!

My vote would have to go to Thongbird. You can see the product well and is more the size of my good lady giving a better comparison.

I'm afraid on the review front I would have to agree - a good review gives more detail than those quoted. The use of the "I found this review useful" vote seems to be a good way forward but should be weighted with regard to frequency of product views. This would ensure a valid vote. OOps got geeky in what is really a bit of fun!

I vote for LovesHuni... definite Top Model and I know for a fact that model agencies are in touch with her, she is a beautiful and gorgeous girl and if she takes up a modelling offer she will be amazing in the job! She has everyone fighting over her!

 I think it just needs to be clarified what date this is from and to. Plus how you select the top 5, are they your faves or are they are just out of a hat (although if it's the latter i don't think people will put as much effort into the photos and reviews).

I think all the reviews were from a four day period.

Here's the 411.

I was asked to pick this up and advised to just find reviews and models for the M/Rotm for April.

For the sake of getting this started I've looked through ALL of the April photos and reviews before posting and listed 5 nominations for each category. I'm not going to individually explain why and what made me choose each review for nomination or why those mentioned in replies weren't listed as nominations. It's only going to cause protracted comments on the subject which I don't feel are necessary.

I asked the web team how best to do the nominations and followed my instructions like a good LH employee. These aren't always added chronologically and will all be sent to me directly from today (just heard from the review editor who works out of office). Photos are much easier for me to pick up on as they don't require 6 hours of reading to get through them all and as I've worked as a professional model for 12 years, I know a thing or two about posing ;)

I have been given no list of rules, specifications or anything else. I decided to open the vote to the forum, I could have picked who I thought should win and been done with it. In order to allow others to vote, I have to post in the forum and it will have to be a week before the end of the month so that everyone who wants to vote can vote. If i gave you 12 hours, people would complain that they couldn't vote! I too thought anon vote, but there's no way of getting the poll into the forums, the coding will not work. Logistics.

There wouldn't have been any x of the month for April if I hadn't spent an entire afternoon sorting it out. With a mass of meetings and over 800 new products due at any time, I've got to prioritise as and when I can, especially when surprised with a new task.

I will tally the votes cast in this post on the 30th and post the details of the winners, but things WILL change next month.

Here's some intel to clear up exactly how things are going to run from now on:

There will be a review and model 'of the month' every month.

Reviews will be emailed directly to me by the editor and I will choose a selection of 5 shortlisted reviewers. This has started today.

Models will be reviewed and picked by me and a shortlist of 5 made.

Months will run from the first to the last day of each month and be announced on the 1st of each month.

I will ask another member at LH HQ to pick the winner from my two shortlists on the 1st of each month.

The winners will be announced in the Blog and LH forum.

Thanks Hella for clearing this up. By the way, your job sounds very busy and not just a bit stressful!

It's a wonderful job and not at all stressful, just busy :) Things will become more mellow once we have defined structure to more of my tasks. There is no 'how to' manual right now and there are always new things for me to take on and run with. No scissors yet though ;)

Hi to everyone at Lovehoney,

This is partly an introduction and partly a thank you post. My hubby and I only started posting lingerie pics of me a few weeks' ago and I am still finding my way around the site at the moment! For example - is it shameful to admit that I tried to find my own profile in the site search engine (!!!) but failed miserably. Must be a blonde thing I guess!

I logged on yesterday and while I was browsing the site, found the forum and then - omg - found me in the running for the "Model of the Month" thing! I couldn't believe my eyes!!  I'm not sure who I should be addressing this to, but thank you so much for nominating me - I've never been nominated for something like this before but I have to tell you, it does wonders for your self-confidence lol.

And a very big thank you to all those of you who have been kind enough to vote for me - that's so nice of you. For a number of reasons, this year hasn't started well for me so I cannot tell you just how good it feels to have something positive like this to enjoy - thank you.

And finally - while I'm thanking everyone and everything - big hugs to Loves Huni for your vote! I want to vote for you but I'm so excited about my own nomination, I feel this devilish urge to vote for me too!
