Like Gem says, you have to say that anyway haha

I thought there would be a play room as such where you can try out products. After all, the better you know the products, the better it is for customer experience if you can relate to the products :)

I've seen the programme on TV about Love Honey so know that they give free stuff away and new products to try. Shame you have to wait until home time HAHA

To be fair, once you've handled enough sex toys it's fairly easy to know how good/bad a toy is or who it would suit without needing to actually use it. I'd say the Lovehoney staff are capable of making judgements on products from playing with them on a desk as much as from playing with them in the bedroom. Would be remarkably seedy to have a play room or encourage masturbation during work in any company, including one that sells sex toys.

Can't say I ever have or ever will masturbate in a work place. But then I'm never so lacking in self control that I physically can't wait until an appropriate time for release. I don't ever experience the whole horn brain where all you can think of is orgasming, so I can't say I understand it. More fun letting things build until you get home, in my opinion.

I disagree with every point really. Not matter how many sex toys you've used, you still don't know how it feels until you actually use it. I've had many disappointments, I've bought toys that looked and felt amazing but they were either too soft, too hard, not flexible enough for what I wanted etc etc etc. I literally have a box of toys that I don't use as they are not fit for purpose. I've also had toys that I thought were going to be rubbish and turned out amazing. Also, each to their own but the way I see it, as long you aren't hurting anyone, it doesn't really matter. Also disagree with the playroom thing. Porn is a working environment but obviously, sex and masturbation is part of the job. No matter which way you look at it, a porn set is still a working environment. Also, I don't see why you're so judgemental. I never pre-judge anyone. So much negativity!

There are plenty of opportunities available to LH staff to "take work home with them" if we choose to but it's definitely not something we do during office hours - we are all way too busy with our responsibilities! :)

Ok, at what point was I judgemental? I made a point I've found to be true myself from reviewing so many sex toys; I know what to expect before it goes south. You may not experience this, but I certainly do. As people who have had to look critically at far more sex toys than I have, I find it a logical assumption that Lovehoney staff are even better than I am at knowing what to expect from a toy. I also made a point that I myself do not feel that horniess is something that absolutely must be addressed regardless of my current situation and that I find it more fun to let the tension build. How is any of that judgemental, or negative for that matter? Don't start throwing accusations because I didn't agree with you, please.

You can't put a porn studio and a sex toy company in the same box, but if you want to get into it it's not like porn stars are ACTUALLY pleasuring themselves; they're acting. Their job doesn't involve masturbating or doing anything for pleasure, it involves pretending they're being pleasured. If you think otherwise or think the porn industry existing justifies a company that sells products like Lovehoney asking that their staff masturbate while on the job, well...not quite!

The judgemental and negativity came from the patronising and condescending approach in your response. For example, Love Honey staff are more than capable of...... and I'm not lacking in self-control (implying that anybody that does has no self-control)
Obviously it's a choice and could stop it if I wanted. You say that you can wait until you get home.... not everyone has the opportunity to have fun at home. I'm out the house 12 hours a day, have 10 month old baby, do all the cooking and my OH has zero sex drive. That combine means hardly any sex life so make the most of what I can while I can. Love Honey staff don't know what certain sex toys feel like that are gender specific. Also toys like the rimming butt plug that sounds good in theory and would be amazing if it was as good as it sounds but it's essentially a rotating butt plug. What about uretheral sounds? What about strokers? What about been on the receiving end of a strap-on.

I'm not getting into the porn debate but all I will say is that I tend to watch either home-made stuff or stuff like Everything Butt where you see the performers get excited before and see them talking about it after explaining what they enjoyed etc...

Just FYI, I was just having a bit banter initially, obviously you don't know what that is! :)

So what you are saying is the judgmental tone and negativity came from how YOU read my post, since I can assure you I was being neither condescending nor patronising. That's simply the way you took it. Perhaps while you are implying other people cannot understand the tone in which posts are intended (and incidentally, I certainly do know what banter is), you should consider that you yourself are reading things incorrectly before you single out one person on a thread as being judgemental or bringing negativity.

From what I can see flicking back through the replies the majority of people on this thread either do not partake in masturbating at work or they believe it to be wrong/inappropriate/whatever. I did not give an opinion either way and I certainly did not make any reference to your own masturbation habits. I don't see why I should be singled out here or why you feel you have the right to lash out at me. If you need to lash out at anyone at least do it to someone who has made it clear they don't approve of what you're doing. I read your post, I had a thought related to it, I posted it (as people do on open forums), I then added a comment aimed at the topic in general (again, as people are encouraged to do on open forums). I fail to see how joining in the discussion warrants being singled out and called names when, again, I said nothing about you, your life, nothing. You claim you never pre-judge anyone, yet you judged me as a judgmental and negative person right off the bat and saw fit to act on that judgement by singling me out. I think you'll find singling someone out brings more negativity than responding to a post does, perhaps you should consider that the way you are taking a post is not the way it is intended before you do this in the future. It happens online. It also happens to be hurtful to the person you single out, so...good to avoid, eh?

Seems most people find masturbating in work unacceptable, I for one am a self confessed cum addict, I'm not a sex addict, nor am I a porn addict, I'm a cum addict, when I need to cum I cum, several times a day I'll need to cum and I don't need sex to do that. Although I've got high hopes for the new hands free toy I ordered from here earlier so it better be good lol.

In my opinion as a boss (well number 2 actually) ,people when we employ them ,we would expect them to do a honest days work and not participate in any activity including pastimes for which we are not paying them to do.

Thankfully most people on here appear to share that belief as well.

    Just my thoughts......

Have never/would never masturbate at work. Yes, on occasion I feel a bit horny, but I literally cannot think of any place less sexy to 'do something about it' than in a toilet at work.

Also, wanking in someone's office is pretty gross.

Can't believe people actually argue the point of masturbating at work as a good thing 😄

I totally agree with squid, nothing at all horny about masturbating in a toilet. There'd be no way I'd do that. How is that better then saving it for when you're home and can masturbate in private?

Being a little horny at work is ok as being horny is part of being human, sending naughty pics to your OH while he's at work (we've all done it!) just to tease him for what's waiting for him at home etc... But to actually masturbate at work, I don't agree wth. There's this thing called a time and a place, and there's no need to call people names for having an opinion either.

Never done it at work as in the office but have felt horny plenty of times and had my vibrator out quite quickly after getting home! I work from home now so if I need to masturbate in the day its no big deal and this happens most days. My hubby used to work locally and come home for lunch and says he would often have a wank.
