• Abdominal pain after masturbation?

    After masturbation, which is mostly clitoral and nothing rough, i end up the day following with quite intense stomach pains. I can only describe it as the same as strong menstrual cramps, or the pain and cramping you get with IBS or diarrhoea. from hip to hip, groin to navel, it leaves me curled up on the sofa unable to get on with daily activities, and i'm wondering if it is likely to be linked to my PCOS. If it continues i will try to get in to see my doc, but its a 7 week wait for a none emergency appointment.

    If the wait is that long, maybe you should make the appointment, and in the 7 weeks leading up to it see if the pain persists and is clearly related as common grounds to the masturbation. If it passes or you can't find a pattern, you can always cancel your appointment making someone else on the waiting list very happy for the "move up". :)

    Get to your local walk in centre if you have one, or can you call early in the morning at your surgery for an appt that morning. Not sure if everyone has access to this! Sorry you're in pain!

    I think I'd get an appointment to be checked over , but on the other hand do you tense your stomach muscles ? I no I do and if it's only happening after masturbation could be muscular , hope you get it sorted out soon x

    I went through a phase of having strong abdominal pains everytime I masturbated or had sex, and it turns out I had a particularly large cyst on my ovary that was leaking fluid everytime I did the deed. So yes, something like that could be happening with regards to PCOS. You'd likely notice bloating and pain at other times too though if this was the case.

    It can also happen from tensing up your tummy muscles. It could be worth focusing on that next time you play to see if you are tensing up without realising. Sometimes I have to take a breath and conciously relax those muscles or I'll be in a lot of pain later!

    There may be nothing they can do, but I'd say it's still worth getting an appointment booked now to get yourself checked out. In the meantime, focus on checking if you tense up or not and that could rule that possibility out?
