Hi guys. I don't know if it's normal, but ever since me and my girlfriend saw Fifty Shades of Grey last week, our love making has gotten much more passionate seriously. Is this strange? I mean just today I got Christian Grey's Tie in and i'm gonna surprise my babe later.

Anything that can spice up your sex life has to be good and it's great that you saw the movie and enjoyed it together :) And no I dont think it's strange, watching other people to get ideas and then wanting to try them is great but remember, fsog is fiction, just dont expect everything you saw in the movie to work for both of you. As long as you're both happy with what you're doing, go for it, and enjoy !!

    PS : she's gonna love that tie ;) !

    Not at all!

I decided to read Fifty Shades of Grey and I found myself buying some toys, I told my OH and he got excited! We then tested them out and our sex life has become better. We agreed to try and buy one product a month to build up our collection and try and bring some fun back into it!

Glad you and your partner are having fun!! ;)

Haven't seen the film but reading the books brought me to Lovehoney in my search for kegel/ jiggle balls. It certainly spiced up my sex life.

Read all 3 books but not bothered about the film, found the books a bit tedious and repetitive. But I've heard mixed reviews on the film. I think its made couples become a little more adventurous, but I've always been pretty experimental so it didn't teach me anything new!!!!! 😈😜
But good to hear you're having fun. Keep going!!! 😁

Honestly I have heard so many of my friends say this. It was back when the books first came out and they said that reading them had improved their sex lives and sexual appetite.

There are so many things that can change the way a person views something or triggers desires. You're not alone in this one! :)

Yes definitely !! I read the books and couldn't get enough of my partner but since seeing the film ive been like a dog on heat !!!
Asked my partner to try a few things out and he wasnt too keen but said he would try. Had our first session last night and we both loved it.
Thats what brought me here the other day. Bought a few things from the fsog collection and xant wait to rry them out !!

    If only!

We're talking more about sex since seeing it, but that's due to additional reasons. She read and enjoyed the books back in 2012, was the one who insisted on seeing the film... yet no real change or improvement in any of that time. What's that about?

    At least we're talking more.

The books were better than the film, much hotter so if she hasn't read them... get her too. Bit repetitive yes but I was a hot mess for the entirety and some more of me reading the books.

To be honest Ive only skimmed through the books (I wasnt impressed)and doubt I will see the film. However it would be impossible to deny the incredible impact that the books have had on mainstream culture especially on the bookshelves of a local WH SMiths which seem to be packed full of 50 shades variations.

As a male I find the notion powerful stuff. An unpublished female author can create such a zeitgeist defining moment and create a whole brand around the book, to me that is more girl power than Ginger Spice ever achieved.

Bringing erotica into the mainstream that hasnt been since Lady Chaterleys Lover is no mean feat and have more column inches than 'who shot JR' is truly commendable.

For me its a milestone in feminist literature (a contentious issue for some) and I wholly embrace the idea that more women involved in producing erotica be it film, blogs or books can only be good thing.

For that alone the author is woman of the year for me.

    But the books content......still pants.

Cheers.... I often feel its such a shame so that so many erotic works aimed at women fail in the commercial space. I thought Playgirl a fantastic idea (at least in theory) and I strongly believe female led pornography has the potential to be huge but still struggles to find a niche.

Probably a huge part of it is that I do consider myself a feminist. My father was a great lover of women and from a very early age he instilled in me the idea that ALL women are goddesses. Having said that the guy was an absolute shag monster who even had sexy time with my social worker whose job it was to look after my wellbeing and not be involved in a threesome on the dining room table.

I have inherited his love of porn but thankfully neither his polygamous nature, or his unique sense of art style ("Dad you've made a collage of cut up pictures from swedish porn mag, nail clippings, used condoms and tampons. Thats not art! 2000AD is art").

Point being..... All power to women. Please produce as much erotica and pornography as is possible so that I dont have to feel seedy and misogynistic cos Im partial.

Ladies of the forum please continue to post your posts. I didn't realise that dear old Dad was right all along. Women can be Goddesses and as fruity as a pack of opal fruits, the two are in no way mutually exclusive.

Apologies for going off topic. In answer to the original post yes it did make a bit of difference, my lovely wife said get some bondage gear from those good folks at Lovehoney but only after she had checked BDSM on wikipedia to ensure that it was ok.
