Is it an aching pain, or a sharp one?

That's a bit concerning :/ Was this your first time trying anal sex? Was she in pain during sex, or did everything feel fine during and the pain came on afterwards?

If it's a dull abdominal pain, a warm bath and some aspirin might help. If the pain is more localised than that, if it is severe, and/or it persists longer than today, it may be worth a trip to the doctor just to make sure she's okay. Unless you were being extremely rough or using foreign objects, I can't think of any serious injuries she might have, but anal fissures are a possibility, and with it being such a dirty area you obviously want to be careful of infection when that happens. Did you use a condom brand that is new to you? If so, allergic reaction is also a possibility.

Telling a medical professional that you're in pain after anal sex is mortifying, but they've heard and seen it all. Plus, they are adults who probably have a varied sex life of their own. When we discussed professions here on the forum, quite a large amount of members worked in the medical field - so maybe whoever treats your wife will be a bit of a kinkster themselves!

I have been using my finger and thumb in her to help get us started in anal but last night after a few drinks I think we got to carried away and tried it to soon as she may not have been ready for me to enter her I didn't go fully all the way inside her just the head of my penis I stopped as it was too painful for her

    I had a condom on.

The pain is at the entrance/exit

If the pain is only at the entrance to her anus, then it's extremely likely she is just a bit sore from being entered before she was ready. She might be swollen, or have a small tear. Like I said, go see a doctor if the pain persists, but that probably won't be necessary.

She should take some over the counter pain medication, like aspirin, and take it easy for the day. She should try sitting to the side or lying down, rather than sitting directly with pressure on her bottom.

It does sound like soreness due to excessive enthusiasm. Is there any bleeding at all? Soreness and/or a very small tear should hopefully fix itself with rest and abstinence from the activity which caused it.

It may also be a reaction to the lube. Maximus sometimes causes a nasty stinging, even for people who have previously been okay with it.

Aloe vera applied to the affected area can help to sooth the pain.

As a general rule, you should always warm up properly before attempting anal sex. The person being penetrated is in charge, so the penetrating partner must follow instructions from them. If there is any pain, you should stop immediately, and only retry with a smaller width.

Assuming your wife wants to try this again, and it is ofcourse her decision, you should consider trying some purpose-built toys and perhaps use a different lube. You should definitely NOT use desensitizing lube, this is exactly the sort of problem that can occur.

If her pain does not improve, she should certainly see a doctor. She won't need to confess all, just say it was a much bigger than usual bowel movement,

    Hope this helps.

Did you lube up? Always best to use anal lube as the anus isn't self lubricating and it will really help.

Also it's best to be relaxed and like you've done start off with fingers to get her used to it. If you do find she gets used to fingers and wants a bit more it's still a good idea to use fingers first before doing anything else that way she can relax with something she knows. A small slimline butt plug may help too, they aren't very big and can be great way to go from fingers to something more,

Also it's always good to take things slow. From my experience with a realistic dildo I find that I have to get the tip in and take it out a few times before fully inserting it into me otherwise it starts to become uncomfortable if I were to try and put it in all at once.

Think we be leaving anal for a bit then try a slimline plug an extra lube in the futre

Glad the pain has eased up. I certainly would say don't get put off but just take it slow and ease into it whenever you are ready to try it again.

That''s good, I'm sorry you had such an unfortunate start to the new year. A slim line plug is okay, you might do better with a medium or a couple of different sizes so in each session you work your way up in stages. Alternatively, there are some excellent anal dildos which can be used either way around to give a choice of two sizes/textures.

I find that if I'm not as ready as I thaught and I suddenly get a overwhelming pain, the best thing is to stop and do nothing DO NOT DRAW OUT just stay still for a few moments and take a few deep breaths then if I know I'm well lubed, I push against him as opposed to him pushing into me, that way I'm in control. While he is entering me, I bare down as if I was trying to poo, this opens me up and once the tip is in I then feel a pop and the rest slides in wonderfully.

I say don't draw out only because this causes a dragging feeling while your all ready sore and its best to just relax a little before moving back or fourth.

This is an increasing problem with A&E as there are more people seeing anal in porn movies, but what they don't see is the warm up! If it hurts STOP you're doing it wrong. More lube and more fore play. Make sure there's loads of lube inside, that'll give you the reason for more than one finger.

    Good advice from Honey B

    Enjoy. x

Try lots of lube, fingers, tongue and toys, then you lie down and get her to squat( rather than kneel ) over you facing away, this is a good relaxing position for her bum and she can control the progress very easily and not be so embarresed looking the other way, once you've got the hang of it you can try anything you wish.
