I have a question for ladies about pussy. what causes it to change color? Sometimes it is a reddish or almost purple color and it is not from being hurt. Not complaining just wondering. Also the lips are full and the next look they seem to have had the air ak out and are flat. This is all in fun but I am curious as to what causes these changes. It is cause by mood or others.

I do believe arousal plays a big part, when there is a lot of blood flow to the area it will be redder/plumper than when not aroused.

Our vulva changes appearance based on a few factors. In fact, it is similar to a mans penis and testicles really, but the changes in the penis and testicles are much more noticeable because, I guess, the parts are bigger and more prominant.

Arousal is one of the biggest causes. Just like men, when we get aroused blood flows into the area, which makes our clitoris harder, our lips fuller and the whole area looks more swollen and red. When not aroused, the blood flows away from the area and so everything looks different again. You could say that our clitoris is like a mini penis, getting hard when aroused and that our lips act somewhat similar to a mans testicles (Testicles hang loose and look kinda soft and wrinkly when the man is not aroused, but as arousal builds, they rise closer to his body and look more red and less wrinkly as the skin tightens). Our labia acts in a similar way.

    Changes in temperature:

Your vulva will react to changes in temperature just like a mans testicles and penis. When cold, I can sometimes actually feel a slight tingle in my Labia Majora as the skin tightens (much like a mans balls rising and tightening when he is cold) Hot baths will relax the skin and bring blood into the area...the opposite of when something is cold.

    Problems:

Not all infections have symptoms and it is possible to have one without feeling any discomfort, pain or anything. Things to watch out for as well as pain, are changes to your natural odour down there, more discharge than normal (or discoloured discharge), itching, needing to pee more than usual and changes in colouration or swelling that seems to be more permanent than just a reaction to temperature or arousal. It is therefore possible for redness and swelling to be caused by an issue (such as in infection or an allergic reaction), but if you suspect something is wrong, you can always visit the doc for a check up and reassurance.

    Hope that helps. x
