We have a couple of friends who are like family to us but they have been having a little bit of a lul in their sex lives. Their not very adventurous or open about it but after a few drinks they mentioned it was a little slow in thee bed room. We would love to help them by suggesting this wonderful place which was so helpful to us when first experimenting but no idea how.

Just blurting it out would scare them off I think.

When you discovered Lovehoney, was it because you were looking to improve things in the bedroom? If so, great - that's how you tell them.

For me and my OH, we too had started to experience a lack of spice in the bedroom - things were getting repetitive or just weren't happening at all. It was then that I decided to investigate sex toys, and see whether they could help improve things. After a discussion with the husband, we did a search, found Lovehoney and haven't looked back.

Relate it back to personal experience and you'll probably get a better response than just blurting out "Ooh give Lovehoney a try..".

I agree with David, you should tell them about your own experiences.

What about just saying "oh I forgot to mention, when we went through a rough patch we found lovehoney" and maybe suggest getting a starter pack? That's how I started out and our sex life has benefited greatly from it!

Do you know if the problem mainly lies with her, him or both? I'm being stereotypical here, but if it's your female friend maybe suggest some erotic fiction? Or loan her one of your books? Fifty Shades turned me hugely kinky and I think for us, I was the problem. I just didn't feel confident with myself and playing with some toys and reading some books really helped me open up about sex.

I must add, it's really lovely of you to try and help out :) good luck xx

you could always use lovehoneys adverts to work it into a conversation, say you were watching a film and you seen the advert it looked interesting so you have a look, then describe how go the site is and everything it has.

that way if there interested they will ask you about it, if not it gives them something to think about.

From the way they were talking I think she has a lower sex drive than him I like e idea of introducing them to books as she does read alot.

Our other idea was maybe a movie night but not sure what movie. Secretary always gets us hot but that's not beginner stuff.

How about Love and Other Drugs. It's not full of sex, but it's central to the plot. It's a very good movie and could easily start a conversation that could lead on to a LoveHoney mention.

Could you not just send them a link to LH, or better still maybe a link to some massage oil, then maybe they may search a little further. Maybe with a funny or cheeky message to encourage them.

Maybe you could put a lovehoney catalogue/brochure through their door-e-mail the team to see what they can do. That way you avoid the possible awkwardness of actually talking to them about it and let them 'discover' it for themselves. If they're not particularly adventurous, something like Fifty Shades might scare them off completely so if you do recommend some erotic literature, something like readerotica stories (available at the kindle store) might be more suitable.

    Hope this helps xxx

I agree with j&lxxxx's idea. You could send your female friend an email, making it sound quite casual to make it less pressure on her. Perhaps a link to some of the literature LH offers or, again as j&lxxxx said, something more romantic rather than erotic like massage oil, candles or some sweet-rather-than-slutty lingerie. Probably best to avoid the portable sex machines and sex swings for now ;)

How about leaving an erotic novel in the bathroom when they're over for an evening? Or maybe a relatively discrete toy, like you left it to dry and forgot to put it away?

Im liking those ideas rose hip might leave a bullet vibe laying around with a book. Nothing to scary though ill leave the bondage and anal stuff locked away.

the windowsill near bubble bath is always a not ott noticeably inconspicuous place to leave an "innocent" toy and id suggest leaving the book open on a good page so it looks like you ehere reading (probably didn't need to mention it but thought it might help)

Could't recommend this advice any more! Sex toys are a brilliant way of spicing up bedroom life, and I dont think there's a company out there that does it better than this one, not too intimidating as to put someone off, but versatile enough to cater to everyone's needs.

I'd maybe start the conversation over a few drinks, and turn the conversation initially towards yourself and they'll start to open up and consider some new ventures themselves!

I personally would send her an email saying you wanna suprise your partner with something nice but sexy and link her to some different lingerie that you "can't decide" on - let her tell you her opinions on them - that way she has the chance to look at the site, and it encourages her that you're comfortable talking about sex with her (she might be shy to say it) and lastly she might see that sometimes the woman has to make a little effort in order to reap reward (a problem I personally think is moreso at the root of this woman's lull in sex drive is they expect the man to give everything all the time..)
