Recently started having sex with a new partner and a couple of times we have had problems with the condom coming off inside her.

It is not that I get soft more just the positions we are trying (she likes me all the way in so I think after a while that starts to work on the ring of the condom) and that we change positions so each time I pull out that has an effect.

Contraception wise it is not an issue as she is using the coil and we are probably close to the point in the relationship where we would be happy to not use condoms any more (we have both come out of long term - 20 yrs - relationships) but it would be nice for the things to stay on for the entire period (we have quite long sessions at the moment).

Any tips? Have done a quick search of the forum but could not immediatly see the topic.

Was thinking about a cock ring to try and keep the thing on (she is happy with hardness, etc without one). Can anyone suggest a ring that might do the job?

hiya

therea a few things you can do, when your with drawing from her make sure you hold the base of the condom and second would be maybe try a diffreant make of condom and see if that does a better job.

and remeber if u do stop using condoms both get checked for STD's before having unprotective sex, im not saying you or your partner have anything its just the most resoponsable thing to do.

Thanks d,

Holding the base is not a practical solution for how deep she wants me to be in (don't get me wrong am happy to try next time to see if she enjoys having a hand down there for something extra to grind against).

The first time it happened just assumed I had not put the thing on far enough and since then have unrolled as far as it will go (not boasting just mean all the way down the shaft).

It really seems to boils down to how she likes me to be in her (don't get me wrong I'm loving it!), previously I have not gone that deep so often for so long, I prefer shallower but just need to find a safe solution for both of us.

Had thought about the check, something we will need to talk about if it happens again!

As for different condoms, does anyone have suggestions? Don't really want anything tighter (along the shaft) but are there affordable condoms with a tighter ring or is a cock ring the way to go?

i dont think it should matter how deep you go, after all a condoms job is to stay on during sex i think to me it sounds like its the size of the condom that is wrong.

and what i meant about holding the base of the condom is, when you are withdrawing from her to change postions you should hold on to the base so theres no chance of it coming off that way.

i cant really say what condoms to try as i myself havent used them for a very long time now, as im in a long term relationship and i am on the pill. i do remeber from when i have used them that durex did tend to come off alot and split esp the feather light ones.

what ones are you useing at the mo?

hopefully someone eles will reply soon and help you a bit more better then i can.

Dxx

ps if youve already had unprotective sex with her and the condoms are coming off a lot it might be a good idea to go to get checked out now.

awww it has been said by other people that these ones do tend to come off and or split, so i think ur best bet is to try anoter style or brand and your problem might be solved.

have a look at lovehoney as most of the condoms have reviews and then pick one from there to try.

A tighter condom sounds like the best idea in all seriousness...Or a good cock ring around the top...? LOL

if a condom does its job well you shoudnt need a cock ring, cock rings should just be used for the naughtyness fun :P

Never had a problem in the past (but that was with old partner), and this was the first time I had used the Durex Featherlite so I guess I need to just change the condom.

Bit weary of buying a smaller condom as the Featherlites are tight enough to get on in the first place, they just seem to stretch!

Would also quite like to try something that doesn't make your hand smell of of latex!

She says she does not have a vibrator so I think anything vibrating is a little way down the line, and a whole different conversation. Besides at the moment we go at it like bunnies so ...

Need to have the check-up conversation first so we don't have to wear the wretched rubbers in the first place!

I had this with an old boyfriend (ended up having to get emergency contraception as a result ugh!) and I believe it boils down to different girth fittings of condoms.  That's not meant as an insult!  But some condoms are different shapes and therefore obviously not all condoms will fit all cocks.  If it's just a problem with this type, just try others and you should be fine.

Hi Imelda, no offence taken :)

Just the things are tight at the start and after an hour aren't. Never had a problem with regular condoms so just wonder if it is just these featherlights. Need to try some others!

At least we don't need to worry about emergency measures but would still like to find something that would work to keep a thin condom on so I have some feeling but be safe. [And I realize by accident we haven't been safe already]

I don't think Condoms are designed for an hour of spirited sex.  They'll take an average performance time across males & factor in 6 pints of Stella.  They'll be designed for 3-5 mins tops!!!!

Seriously, an hour seems a bit long for one johnny!

Hmm maybe after use they stretch? I don't think they're supposed to though!  Definitely worth looking into other brands as a solution.

Yes (and perhaps that is why I never had the issue with my previous long term partner :)

The first one that came off was after an hour and a half, on Sunday morning only an hour or so.

We do slow down inbetween and shift around.

Just really good being with her, I'm a happy camper again.

Do wonder if it is just a feature of these 'ultra-lights', use them for more than 10mins and they start stretching?

Anyway (as per Diamond's comment) have had the testing conversation and I think we will go that route to make sure she is happy and then stop using the smelly latex things ASAP.

Hi private member.

I would imagine the big daddy cock ring will keep them on if tightened around the base of your cock. I've got one and i'm telling you, they can go tight mate!! Boy can they go tight!
