Tell them you've ordered them a present for their next birthday. They'll stop being nosy or else it'd ruin the surprise. And when their birthday actually arrives and they see they get something of a totally different size, say you changed your mind and sent that old "present" back.  

hmm well mine came in the standard LH box with my other items, then there was a kind of cardboard sleeve around the shaft of the whip.
