It wasn't even a proper interview, they just asked me what hours I'd be willing to work and took another copy of my cv because they misplaced the original. The whole thing took like 5mins and they said they'll be in touch. Not really sure if that's a good thing or not haha

I used to work in a call centre for a bank - dealing with our triple A customers. Thats the Angry Agressive and Anxious brigade no one else wanted to deal with. Officially we were meant to be dealing with customer complaints.

At the moment I am taking over the family business, retail mostly online but some face to face events. Not saying what we sell as could ID me :) just that it is mainly big boys little toys!

I have a job as a cleaner in a pub, not happy with it and trying to decide if I should quit or not. not happy in work which means i'm not happy at home.

    What does everyone think?

    SHOULD I QUIT OR NOT?

Unless you have another job lined up or can survive without your wage, I'd say don't quit. Take it from someone who's been unemployed for months - the job market is a bugger at the moment.

What are you going to do instead? Can you afford to live without a job?

Ok well if you can survive without the extra money then I'd say quit. It's not worth staying in a job you hate unless you really have to. Especially if it's impacting on your home life.

As a serial quitter of jobs only do it if you can afford it or have another job to go to. Its 10 times easier getting a job when you already have one.

I'm a chicken farmer. We have over 10,000 free range layers. I like what we do.

We only get paid an average of 93 pence per dozen for our eggs that end up in the big supermarkets.

    Regards

I am a process technician...... I help make death rays (ahem.. lasers....well grow thin semiconductor layers for lasers really) a really interesting and rewarding job but it fraustrates the hell of me being at the bottom when I have shown that i clearly have the ability and knowledge to learn and learn well. Annoys me even more when one of the engineers (the position above me and a huge pay rise) just throws it away and doesnt seem to care or do things properly.... sorry rant over
