NBN Thanks, its a little strange because she lives away from home and never told us until the op was done, so we didnt have the worry factor. Shes young and they caught it early (breast cancer).
Check your boobs ladies!

Well the family is three people, we wouldnt tell anyone else theyre all too old or estranged. After several stupid atempts to take her life she decided it was worth living and did something to save it. What goes through girls heads from 15-20 yrs apart from stupidity and hormones.

Well I'm pleased things between you are sorted now and she has the all clear and the Olympics to look forward to. You must all be so relieved. When someone you loves has/had cancer makes you look at life a little differently I think.

NBN like I say she said nothing till the op and we didnt see her until about 3 months later by which time she had almost forgotten about it. This test was one yr after so I think now she is in "remission", Shes at Uni shes got a job and is enjoying life so fingers crossed its over, she is too young for such stuff.

By the sounds of it - being in Uni (although there's no real age limit on that) - she is far too young for such things but her age may have given her an advantage in treatment being successful and keeping it at bay in future. It's awful that anyone should go through it at any age but particularly when you're so young
