Hi all,

Not a sex related thread I'm afraid but opinions/recommendations required.

http://www.zaggora.com/

I have been looking at these hotpants by Zaggora. Their claim is 'simple' - lose 2 jean sizes in 2 weeks.

Now I'll admit - I'm wooed by this! However, I can't help but feel sceptical despite wanting to believe.

You can apparently wear them during the day, at night and during exercise. Personally, I'd only wear them during exercise as I need some 'exercise gear' anyway (don't currently own any!).

But I can find barely any negative reviews and this concerns me (thinking too good to be true). All reviews as positive; they have a FB page and apparently negative reviews are removed so I'm assuming they do the same for twitter but even on good ole Google, there are barely any negative reviews - and the ones I've found relate to delivery issues rather than product issues.

It seems all the usual blogs have been targeted with the product and people are 'Brand Ambassador' so haven't seen any negative reviews there either....

The thing is I'd like to talk to someone who has actually tried them - has anyone on here tried them?

Also, I'm still not entirely sure how they work - or how the results stay....

So, anyone heard of them or tried them? Do they really work?

Cheers

Angel x

PS - should add the offer is on Groupon again which has prompted me to finally ask - £19 for a pair, otherwise I wouldn't even be considering them!!

Ughm. Hot does this work? I mean I was not able to yet go down a size on my lower body as I did loose about half a stone recently, but it went off my waist and my breasts, but not yet hips. Or thighs. Wondering how pants can help you go 2sizes in 2 weeks? also is it that healthy? I though the heathly loss is about 1kg at max a week. Also not sure how you manage to make it stay... I mean, if you dont change your lifestyle, the weight will be up soon again, in most cases

From a quick glance, it seems that the hot pants aren't really the focal point of losing weight.. more that the people seem driven by the motivation that it aids when exercising. It may be "specially" formulated to lose excess water like how those belts across your stomach do etc but that's it.

In a sense it can be helpful and an inspiration/motivation to step up on a routine but for the most part I don't see how this pair of hotpants can be so life changing. The fabric will just help excess water loss this can be easily regained and won't help with weight loss itself. The exercise will.

The belts work by stimulating muscle contractions trhough electric. You can sit there flexing your core muscles but the belts are designed to do it for you without you having to think about it, and do it quicker. saying that the belts only really work is you are fit anyway, so I've been told.

But yeah I agree the the hot pants probably just make you lose water weight, and might act similar to a corset,For £19 they might be wrth getting as long as the fabric is good etc. Most running shorts etc cost around that, so if they don't work in helping you lose weight as long as they are good while you're doing exercise and deal witht the seat you lose, it might be worth a try.

I was talking about the belts that don't have the electrical signals in- the cheaper ones! They just have this thick elastic type fabric and just helps you lose water really.

The description even says that it essentially helps you perspire more. I agree though for £19 it isn't that bad but for anything more I think you're better off buying a new set of work out clothes and hitting the gym. That reminds me... >.<

Ah I understand.

Yeah if you go to sports direct or similar you can probably pick up hotpants and a linned t-shirt for about £25 which might be better. I guess it's hard to tell. If they were £15 I might have went for them myself as I need something like that right now as all my running shorts are very short and it's startin to get cold. But I try and stick to nike sports clothing as the fit if often great, and I think I can the nike hotpants (that are dry fit, but probably not size reducing) at the same price, maybe even less if I get them through a trade account.

If you do get them, it'll be inbteresting to hear how you get along.

Thanks all, I've been thinking all the same things you've mentioned.

I guess the thought of losing weight would spur you on to exercise and wear them; and people have said their skin feels so much softer.....

I guess at £19 they're not too bad but apparently they're difficult to put on at first

Wish I had softer skin, but as much as I would like to reduce my celulitide it would not make the striae go away. my hips and thighs are covered with those, I have sooo many, ever since my hips started to grow :-( And I hate those more than the celulitide, to be honest.

Hmmm - as soon as they refuse to tell you how it works (by inventing words like "Cel-ulite technology") then I'm incredibly skeptical.

And of course it's complete pseudoscience to talk about "flushing out fat cells and toxins".

I can imagine *maybe* by being tight they make your muscles work harder (clutching at straws here) but I'd suggest just get a pair of control shorts to wear during a work out instead - it's a lot cheaper :P.

It really does smack of complete bullshit - it follows all the patterns of typical pseudoscience on its webpage so I'd avoid if I were you.

Ha ha Ad, I wondered when you'd be commenting on the thread with a scientific approach x

You are of course right and yet I'm still tempted by them - yeah, I know, I'm a sucker. I just can't find any negative reviews so part of me is saying 'give it a chance' lol
