Evening all.
BP - sorry I didn't reply to you when you replied to me the other night (I often don't look in this thread because I find it difficult to keep up with) and sorry you've been having such a tough time in your relationship. There are lots of threads with great advice on things like your situation so maybe it'd help to search the forums? Even if it only reminds you that you're not alone in feeling how you do :)
You could always start your own thread too - I've seen lots of people get a lot of comfort from the support on the forums :).
SLM I'm really glad you've got a hospital doctor with a wider grasp of all the symptoms in HMS - I know you asked about nerve symptoms but the condition can affect lots of other areas too including the gut and skin. Just mentioned because your GP doesn't seem to understand so it's useful for you to know :). I'm glad your hospital doctor thinks you should see a specialist about the HMS - who diagnosed you? A rheumatologist? My physio was really shocked that my rheumy discharged me after just one appointment.
Today I've been paying for my weekend of silliness. I tidied and cleaned over Saturday and Sunday and got a 3 hour train on Saturday too. Cleaning included dusting my Ikea Billy Bookcase which is massive (so have to reach up) and changing my bedding and hoovering. All things that are dreadful for my joints.
So today I stayed in bed 'til half 1 (even though I was awake) then dragged my pillow to the sofa and have been propped up there all day! I have tendonitis in my hip, arms, shoulders, and legs. Along with muscle damage in all those places as well as my back and collar bone areas.
Having said all that I'm feeling mentally loads better :D I feel so much better for having been able enough to tidy and clean and feel a lot more positive about my ability to deal with the pain now so that's great :).
