Haha, I love that one!

I found this in a Times piece once and quite liked it:

Sex is what universities are for. For geeks to lose their virginity and studs to get their numbers up, for gays to come out or go back in, for public schoolboys to have their eyes opened by a big-arsed lass from the Valleys and council-estate girls to grab a bit of posh, for old to do it with young, poet with critic, student with teacher, counsellor with counselled, patient with doctor, friend with friend, drunk, stoned, high as a kite or stone-cold sober, and there is no point pretending otherwise.

My fave quote of all is probably this one from Octave Mirbeau's The Torture Garden ( no i haven't read it! would like to though ) :-

"You're obliged to pretend respect for people and institutions you think absurd. You live attached in a cowardly fashion to moral and social conventions you despise, condemn, and know lack all foundation. It is that permanent contradiction between your ideas and desires and all the dead formalities and vain pretenses of your civilization which makes you sad, troubled and unbalanced. In that intolerable conflict you lose all joy of life and all feeling of personality, because at every moment they suppress and restrain and check the free play of your powers. That's the poisoned and mortal wound of the civilized world."

Probably says a lot about me actually!

There's plenty of others, I would need to look them up, I can't recall that well.

" At the end of time, a moment will come when just one man remains. Then the moment will pass. Man will be gone. There will be nothing to show that we were ever here..... but Stardust!"

From the film Sunshine.

I saw this tattooed on someone and thought how beautiful the words were.

"Can you drive a tractor, bb?

Yes, someone did actually ask me this one night when I was on cam. Now, perhaps I'm being naive and it's some sort of euphemism...
