Yeah I was VERY lucky that they we're all in line fractures so no complications with no surgery needed after lots of me arguing with them about needing drains in my chest and a prior back injury that they felt needed tidying up.

Long and short once surgery gets involved it's a different story so it's a not an apples with apples comparison compaired to your issues which I would say are worse.

Although a positive attitude that the issue is now fixed & it's just the body healing thats causing the pain helps, give it time and you'll be right!

Thanks. Yes, you were indeed VERY lucky!

My injury wasn't from a bike, all I did was step off a chair when I was working last year. Foot went crunch and it hasn't been right since! That and steroid injections in my foot have messed it up some more (though the doctors refuse to admit it)!

My OH has come off his bike (back when he used to ride) a couple of times and he has nothing to show for it at all except for a tiny little scar on the back of his head! Could have been a lot worse, but he was always in leather and heavy duty combat trousers. (Those trousers have saved him a few times now! Lol!) They are now covered in paint in a bag in the cupboard, but he refuses to let go of them!

Me and the Hubby gotta Honda CBR 600 FW.

Its an oldie but a goodie.

Just be glad when the better weather comes back! LOL!

My 13 year old daughter loves Cal Crutchlow, but i love the road racing especially the IOM TT. John McGuiness rocks as does Guy Martn. And poor Hutchie has broken his leg again which sucks!

Boy do i love bikes!!!

I adore bikes. I occasionally dabble in the fast life. Last went out with my friend on his new R1, great ride and great bike. Got my helmet and jacket, did have leather pants but had to get rid. My uncle has had quite a few bikes, he's had a vintage ducati 750 which was totally gorgeous. My favourite personally and has been for quite a while now is the Suzuki GSXR 750.

Unfortunately my friend had an accident a few weeks later, of which a van pulled out without looking and knocked him off, he was in a coma for 6 weeks, broken leg, arm, ribs, lost part of his liver and quite bad grazes. Luckily he survived. But its such a shame because of accidents like this and drivers being bike unaware, that people think (including my mum and gran) they are 'death' traps etc even though more people have accidents in cars.

But just turning a bike on and giving it a good rev, makes me giddy.

I've always loved the look of Harley's (and the men on them) but dont have my licence. My ex tought me how to ride his bike, but that was 12 years ago, and Ive never been on a bike since :( I'd love to get lessons and get my licence, maybe this could be the year I give myself a kick up the ass and do it

Another rider here... well, the offroad kind! I don't have a road license but going for my CBT this coming summer.

It's an interesting 'fact about me' when I first meet people!
