My favourite jello vibrator has randomly melted down one side !!!

I am so cross, angry, gutted arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Nothing has or ever will compare to it (beleive me I have tried lots and lots).

The most annoying thing is nothing leaked in the bag - all the other toys were fine. I used the same water based lube I have done for the past two years I've owned it, cleaned it in water like I always do and none of the batteries leaked. It wasn't even wet in the storage bag indicating a spillage, and the bag sat in the same place in my room it always has.

The product got discontinued from LH ages ago but I am really upset, because being ill (long-term) I take alot of get in the mood and this vibe always seemed to do the trick

Nifty - total nightmare! How do people get these rooms? I presume it's one landlord or agency taking applicants.. could you complain to them?

I guess it's nice to be tolerant of others even when they're being, well, a bit of a prat, but really, that's too much for one household to take!

thanks guys - i'm glad it's not just a case of me being overly sensitive. it really helped to write it all out like that too...!!

i think we're all (the rest of the house, me and jamba are pretty good friends with the other couple and they feel the same way about this new guy..) going to try and take the mature route and not be petty in retaliation (tho i may have slammed a door or two this morning...*cough*) and just try and tell him straight that he's pissed us of and why. if it doesn't get better in a couple of weeks.... well..... i guess i'll have to ask y'all for some good advice!!

any ideas on how to politely but firmly tell him that if he brings home randoms he's gotta make sure they don't steal all our stuff...? o__O

my first thought was to wait behind the front door, jump them and handcuff the random to the banister but as a mature grown up! I would say a full house sit down chat over a drink or shared meal to discuss the best way of everyone getting on. Never had to share a house so probably not much help although we have a big list of house rules on the hall wall but then I have smallish children.

our new housemate is a freakin nightmare.

he's ridiculously loud - he talks like his volume setting is broken, like he's talking to us from across a crowded room. and he will NOT shut up about himself............ he seems to have a thing about christians..............  he'd been using my laptop - to make matters worse, i had lovehoney pages open - which he had the fucking nerve to comment on quite publicly the next morning ......now i'm hardly a prude but i don't want my sex toy purchases discussed over wakey-wakey-egg-and-bakey!!!

POOR YOU!!  I lived in a shared house for a while- and even daft things can piss you off- BUT he sounds like a total DICK.

We had a cheap remote control- after a while the light wouldn't go out on it. didn't think much about it 'til it got red hot- started to smell plasticy- the batteries, when i took 'em out, made a burn mark on the arm of the sofa. i don't store stuff with batteries in now- if possible i take them out.

Oh nifty! That's awful. What a twat.

I couldn't house share. I'm far too particular about privacy and fairness/concideration and aside from making someone sign some Big Bang Theory style "housemate agreement" and holding interviews there'd be no proper way to vet people before sharing with them!

I hope you suss out a way to deal with him!

Nifty that sounds like a complete nightmare, I hope that it is just the initial moving out from home and meeting new people thing and that once he has settled down he will be more 'normal' whatever that is.

I am like Ad I couldnt house share, my sister came on holiday with us and that was hard enough.

LM1981 ((HUGS)) I hope you manage to find something soon, its horrible when your fave toy dies

Most definitely ...actually, I'm pretty relaxed about where I sit. As long as I'm comfortable I'm happy. But I think I'd be a pretty unbearbale housemate since I'd except certain levels of cleanliness (i.e. in shared spaces like kitchens, bathrooms) and concideration!

...i just went to check facebook again, and found that i needed to log in... thinking this was strange, i checked my account login activity only to find that i'd been signed on at another location in the house on a nokia mobile phone, and about 10 mins later, windows laptop...

i'm suspicious that he's either gotten my password from using my laptop, or from my old nokia phone i leant to him because his is on the blink.........

What a fucking twat. Change all your passwords for everything saved on your laptop!

And it may sound extreme but do you have any bank detalils saved on your laptop too?

fb on your phone saves your log in details so he might just have logged in by mistake on there, how long was he logged in for? As for on your laptop, he probably logged you out to log himself in and then logged himself in, meaning that you had to log in to get back on, if he had your password he would have been able to log back in as you and you would never have known that someone else had been on it.

I would be tempted to put a password on my laptop if I was you so that he cant use it without asking permission.

He sounds very immature to me, maybe you need to speak to him properly about this, it is not acceptable to use other peoples stuff just because you share a house with them, he is not at home with his family now, it might have been ok for him to use a siblings things but not a housemates.

Definitely start worrying. Using your phone and your laptop, signing in to YOUR facebook? It's beyond social faux pas - this is just not on.

I agree about locking down all info you have on there. Change passwords and make sure all your stuff is secure.

It may take a little time, but you'll be thankful you did.

Oh, and then lock up your stuff. Don't leave it unattended, even with new secure passwords.

I think nifty was saying she was logged in on his phone *and* his windows latop 10 mins later so if it is him he would know the password.

I'd put a lock on your laptop too and if you have a lock on your bedroom door lock anything you can't afford to lose in your bedroom. After all, if he's no qualms "borrowing" your laptop, what else might he borrow?

Speaking as the sister of a "borrower" who borrows without asking and doesn't think it's his responsibility to fix if he breaks the thing he borrowed I'd say lock everything away (I now have a lock on my bedroom door in the family home and this is my flesh and blood rather than just a housemate who barely knows me!).

re reading the post Ad you might be right

but I dont see how he has got the password from just been on the laptop, when you type them in it shows them as black dots, and I have looked through the account settings and I cant see where he got them from. Might be a good idea just to change the passwords just to be on the safe side of things.

I had a lock on my bedroom door to Ad so I know exactly what you are talking about, frustrating isn't it.

You can go to settings and reveal all your passwords. I often use it when I've forgotten them and need to sign in with another device...
