Can we post photos?

We can't post photos directly on to the forums so I've created a blog for us here.

It is a private blog so you will need to be active on the forums for at least 2 weeks before anyone will add you to it.

Once we've gotten to know you, e-mail me to be added as an admin so you can post your photos.

You need to send me your email address so I can invite you.  Email me at gmail with my username

To anyone who's interested:  The reason that it's a locked private blog (which I will change if you guys vote otherwise) is that if it's completely open, it's open to anyone on the web and being searched etc etc.  I thought that would make people reluctant to post photos. 

To get in you have to have an invite from me directly, which is why I need your email address.  You then follow that link to create a google account (you must to be able to post).  That gives you full access to post as you like.  The idea is that it's everyone on heres blog, not mine!

There seems to be a few people jst signing up to this forum for the purposes of accessing this photo blog. Maybe there should be some sort of test before they are allowed access, or at least have them contribute to the forums. What you think?

I agree with you Sexytime,  maybe have a rule that they have to be an active member for a while before being allowed into the blog,

See im quite up for taking photo's and posting them but this is whats putting me off, I caught my mate on my lappy the other day, and who's to say she hasnt joined just to be Nosey OMG the horror lol.

I know people could join and post to be nosey but hey if they are that interested and going to that many lengths they are welcome to see roflmao.

Will have to see what Imelda, Tallboy & Naughtyboy think.

I don't really think that's true... you'd have to become a member of the forum and read it before you were even aware of the existence of the blog! Anyway, I'm sure imelda isn't just letting randomers join - anyone who's asked and been accepted I've seen around before.

Yeah it is actually becoming a problem for me.  It's the OA blog, so for OA members.  I'm actually pretty uncomfortable having just anyone who hasn't posted on here join. So anyone who wants to join, please introduce yourselves on here, get to know us and then I will add you.  Ameloriate and mybad you've been addded coz I feel we know you rather well by now!  Ruth c'mon u know u want to!!

I should add that we are actually limited to 100 members and currently have 32 with 10 to log in and join.

Those added will receive a separate email from blogger.

While we are setting up a few ground rules could l take this opportunity to raise again the issue of third party photographs. By that, and to be precise, l do mean OA members, as recognised through this and other forums, and known to be of some standing, posting to the blog photos of others.

Before l go any further l am in no way impugning anyone  currentlyon OA/LH. It is just that in all good faith Imelda, myself and others appointed as administrators really have absolutely no way of verifying the bona fides of third party pictures. The assertion that they don't mind may well in 99.999 recurring to infinity % of cases be exactly that, bona fide. However l, and to be more precise, Mrs T knows from bitter experience that spurned spouses can often resort to some pretty despicable ways to "get their own back" by posting photos of former partners that were never intended for the internet system in any way shape or form.

To reiterate no criticism is meant to any here, but l am concerned that a posting of such an unauthorised picture could well take place at some point in time in exactly these circumstances. The requests received recently asking for access to the blog, without any previous intercourse in these forums, at risk of sounding paranoid, leave the question don't they.

I am uncertain what  consequences could follow to members involved in the blog where postings take place in such circumstances as outlined above. I am happy to take a steer from LH although they do seem happy to let us sort ourselves out whenever we are able. I believe we have the maturity to do exactly that.

Comments are invited from all, and l have only raised this point in order to seek a solution rather than to be the proverbial wet blanket, as it is something that has concerned me now for a while.

I totally Agree, third party photo's make me uncomfortable to be honest,  so I think its a great rule and very respectful.

My words! It's all gone a bit heavy in here since I requested to join the blog  - any lesser mortal would take it personally .

I do agree with the points raised by tallboy about third party images. The OA forums are about exploring ones own sexuality, not sharing others without their knowledge. Keeping membership of the blog to the more prevalent posters seems fair to me - Imelda honey, you keep in and kick out who you want - you took the initiative to set it up so why shouldn't you play god! Anyone that is refused access to the blog for what ever reason, is more than capable of setting up there own pic blog which I'm sure the members of these fine forums will flock to if it's any good.

Obviously if very few people post pictures to the OA pic blog, it will be pretty dull (not the case thus far I hasten to add) but I don't see it wrong to allow members to join (having passed the appropriate vetting procedures) that don't wish to contribute images. I see a blog of this nature appealing to two types - the exhibitionists amongst us getting a kick out of showing their booty but they rely on the voyeurs that enjoy looking. As long as the voyeurs are willing to share the excitement they get by supportively posting comments and encouragement then they have a place too!

Thanks for deeming me worthy of becoming one of the 100 Imelda - i'll try not to disappoint - OK, so far I've only been on to 'perve' at the sordid things you kinksters have been up to but that's only while I get my creative juices flowing. I'm thinking I might dust of the threebangs and offer up some proof that I actually completed the challenge - the only thing putting me off right now is the thought of having to edit pictures of my own hairy arse when there's such fine feminine pictures distracting me on the blog already (Imelda, sxe_couple21, Sexychic et al).

Give me time and encouragement (is this really something people want to see?) and I might it a go!

I'm very much in agreement about the third-party photos, I think there's a huge issue there. Regardless of whether the person has permission to use them or not, I think the blog should be by members and for members, with only photos of members. I don't think I'd be wrong in saying that that was the original purpose of setting up the blog - to see more revealing pictures of eachother. No disrespect to anyone meant, but if we wanted to look at photos of strangers we could find them anywhere online.

I'm all a bit embarassed about being such a muppet!

I really really want the blog to be open to everyone, whether they post pics or not, as long as they contribute (eg by stories etc) then that would be fab.  I really want to have as many as possible.  The trouble only arises when people don't post here and want in.  Like that's taking people away from these forums which is a problem and also coz we don't know how old they are etc or if they're scary!  Hell we get into enough arguments when we know each other!

So anyone 'new' please just post on here and I will defo add you to the blog in time!

I posted this elsewhere for you:

TB from the homepage you go to Customise at the top right hand side.

Then on the new page go to the Settings tab.

Then from there go to Permissions at the end.  You can then see the list of authors.

Click Add Author and enter the email address.

Go try and let me know fi you have any probs.

Just a note guys, you usually need to contribute to the forums and make yourselves known a while before being able to join the photo blog, to stop all and sundry from accessing it.

It's not my call but Alinthea might be an exception as you 'come' through recommendation!

BLOG ISSUES

I don't know why some of you are having trouble accessing the blog because it is working for me, albeit a little slowly.  I believe it's a blogger problem which will hopefully be sorted soon.  All I can suggest is forcing a refresh with ctrl and F5 at the same time.

I am now having less problems with the blog, it seems to be back to normal.  Is this the experience of others or do we still have issues?

I still cant get on it, it's just the blue background, and the scroll bar, with nothing on the page

Yeah press ctrl F5 together, it should reload the page.
