Costume for a vanilla fancy dress party?

Any suggestions for me?  I am off to a grown-up but fairly straight laced party in a few weeks and am stuck for costume ideas, I would like to push the boundry a little and make it as sexy as I can but leopard skin thongs and wet look t-shirts are both out.  :)

I am a tall male, but any ladies are quite welcome to suggest or recall past costumes as I am sure it will help.

a lycra superhero costum just wear nothing under it and make sure its tight not loose, should raise a few eyebrows :)

Old military uniforms always seem to get a lot of positive comments.  You could go for Scots Guards or Roman soldier with nothing under the kilt or tunic if you want to make it more daring.

I would say police officer! :)

But go for fireman, or pilot. sailor with the white hats  or army officer or trooper! you can put up offical firemans cloths or MOD gear from surplus shops cheap! :) but the firemans helmet can cost upto £200!

or go as a greesy machic with filthy overalls or a vicar, you can pick up monks hooded robes too!

Cowboy, Pirate, Vampire (i like the sound of that.. black cape and all .. and those teeth ), Gangster ?

I know you said you were tall. But could you wear something along the Gladiator/Barbarian theme? Undies optional haha.

The last time I was at a fancy dress party all the guys had amazing costumes that were really subtle but still pretty sexy! There was a superman with quite a tight costume, mechanic with no top on under the overalls, gangster, policeman, army guy, jack sparrow (but any pirate would do) and, this one was weirdly quite good looking, but a golfer with quite tight trousers and top.

 vampires are definately sexy dark and  mysteroius maybe not as obvious as dracula more along the modern day vampires lines like vampire diaries or twilight
