Wow! Malt go and get your self measure you bad girl

I have been measured around 2 years ago but now I have lost some weight I have gone down a bit in the back and a little in the cups. I will wait a bit until I get measured again though as it has decreased but not by much.

I need to get measured again, I'm sure.. I have a piece of paper that shows how to measure yourself somewhere, but god knows where it is now!

My bras are getting very uncomfortable at the moment.. I'm guessing it's the measurement round the chest thats the culprit rather than the cup size though..

Apparently, you're best not to measure, and just try on lots of different bras and see which fits best (it should be on tightest back setting and not digging in/riding up, shoulders shouldn't dig in, and the middly bit should sit flat) because different styles fit better in different sizes, eventually you'll get a good average to go to.

Self measuring = http://www.85b.org/bra_calc.php

And a great little guide from Figleaves http://www.figleaves.com/uk/fitting_room.asp?cat=234&cookied=22/09/2010%20224609

I hate measuring my self. I dont get it. If its an even add 1 if its odd add 6, if its pink multiply and then subract by how much you dont get it lol.

Why dont you just measure your back size? Thats the easy bit.

Tks Malt, they're huge alright....

I got measured at Bravissimo, was well worth it. Are the centre wires close to your chest bone ? The lady measuring me, who was no more that a B cup..., said i need a K cup in some bras to make the wires come into my chest.

I get measured nearly every time I go bra shopping! The woman are all really lovely though soo that helps :) I go to La senza or M & S :) theyr soo different in theyr sizing schemes though :) But id go for it and get measured, it'll be worth it when you have such a comfty bra you dont even realise you have it on :) The woman normally has a lil giggle with you to to lighten the situation :)

On the subject of bras.. i was watching the comedy show on bbc 1 on saturday night, and she was talking about how do you put bras on the 1st kind being putting it on then doing it up behind you, 2nd doing it up at the front then twisting it round. Now apparntly these are the only two kinds... but someone did a 3rd which was do it up and put it on... which in all honesty i do... and yes my bras fit fine!!! So which one are you.... and are there any other ways??????

Ok, so I got re-fitted today - 3 different places all agree I'm 3 cup sizes bigger than I thought I was.

So now I'm accepting that I'm an E cup, I found it almost impossible to get a padded bra anywhere (I found one, in black).

I'm gonna be mortified the first time I wear a pale top; going into the office with my nipples poking everywhere (they're always really perky & visible).

Surely I cannot be the only woman who wears padded bras for the sake of modesty rather than to enhance my bust?

Anyone know of anything that can hide your nips when wearing a non-padded bra?

I wear some too. I don't need the extra lift but I do find the padded ones comfortable.

How about those little rounded pads that you put on your nipples. A bit like nipple pasties. I think those women that lactate have something similar but it could work well to "hide" your perkies. Or you could just try some pasties and you'll still keep your modesty when you decide to flash.

I find even the supermarket ranges do accommodate to bigger bust sizes at good prices so you may want to have a little snoop there.

Thanks Fr33b1rd & Nymeria - actually I think those pads sound ideal - i could just slip them into my new comfy bras then when I can afford to add to my collection I'll have a mooch in La Senza.

Thanks

I wear padding for that reason - I hate my nipples - but I'm teeny too so it's not too difficult to find (as long as the shop I'm in actually does my size!).
