Just have to stick up for the old ladies at M&S for a mo! I worked for them for a long time as a student and they really do know what they're doing. They are trained for weeks before they are allowed to fit people and they honestly will try and make it as cringe-free as poss. They see a lot of boobs in training trust me!

I wish I'd seen this thread earlier but this is what I learned!

Loads of stuff will make your bra size fluctuate. You should  get measured every 2 years as a guide.

Even five pounds of weight gain or loss can take you into a different cup size.

99% of ladies have one boob bigger than the other. It's just the way it is!

I'm a skinnie minnie but have a 36 back, the numbers often don't sound right but you need to go with what fits.

Pregnancy is the obvious changer, and they will probably be a different size afterwards too. Dodge the underwires during pregnancy girls, do your boobs a favour and get a maternity bra fitted.

Style is also a huge influence. Your boobs will have fullness in different places depending on the person so you need to find a cup that holds it in the right place to avoid nasty 4-boob syndrome! This is also where the basic measuring technique falls down as it's not just a case of simple numbers, it's also about shape.

When you buy a bra, get one that fits on the loosest clasp. That way, as the bra stretches out  over the months you can tighten it up and get more wear out of it.

Chuck out a bra you wear a few times a week after 2 years because the support will go. You should hand wash them but I don't know anyone that actually does. If you do you can add another year of wear on.

You wouldn't buy shoes without trying them on, so try your bra too! Once you have found a shop that sells the style that suits and fits you, go there to be measured and then it's a one-stop shop!

In conclusion - boobies (just for the lads)!xxx

Get a what katie did corset coz they ahve a sale on at the minute!  Though mostly underbusts left and that doesn't really help the bra issue...

You can pick up WKD corsets from their ebay site (most of the WKD stuff on ebay is actually them).  I got one at £36 and one at £50.

Dunno if this helps but im a 32GG bra wise which makes it sooooo hard to buy bra;s from anywhere other than M&S, debenhams (sorry my spellling is shit) and Bravissmo and tbh i end up replacing all my bras every 5/6 months otherwise they lose all the support however being a student i cant exactly afford to spend £40/£50/£60 per bra so i wait for the sales then buy as many as i can. Once they arrive half of them go away in the draw while i wear the other half they when the support goes in the ones im wearing i have the new ones waiting for and by the item the support is going in them theres usually another sale on somewhere so i start again. The only problem i have is when im on my period and they swell up a bit more and get very sore or when im excercising and then its time for the compltly practical, unsexy sports bras. I know they look awful but tbh they stop my back hurting and stop me having to hold my boobs still everytime i go up or down stairs lol.

Luckily enough Debenhams do tend to sell the high activity sports bras for about £15 so at least theyre cheaper than ones that look nice. Otherwise its just a case of checking out the sales and buying everything u can find in your size hun.

Oh yeh also Iv found that although LaSenza are a special bra shop the ones near me dont do any bras above DD cups so that sucks.

Ohhh and also theres a big shop in manchester called Pandora's box which do some lovely bra's for larger vups sizes priced at about £25 per bra. Im not sure if they r just one shop in Manchester or a chain nationwide coz iv never seen any when iv been visiting my mates around the country but if u see one, go in there!!!

Take a horny bloke or girl with you next time for an honest appraisal, and then if you plump for a corset you wont have to tighten it yourself, they can, and if you fancy the assistant then one pair of hands tightening might not be enough if you get my drift !! These shops must be out thee in this economic tumble!!

Well nope diamonds, but they carry the weight of oth sincerity and the naievety born of the honest amateurs, my only experience of bras, apart from my nocturnal outings on the 3rd of February were as a catapult when in my youth - roughly ages 40-49 !!
