Bustier sizes

I was just measuring the Bustier I recieved recently, as it felt a bit bigger than I had expected, and it does seem to be bigger than the measurements listed. I got this bustier in the size small:

My measurements are:

33.5 inches hips

26 inches waist

32.5 inches bust.

I've checked a few times and everytime it works out to be about these measurements, rather than the follow:

Small: Bust 31" / Waist 24" / Hips 30"

I just found it odd, and that I should let you know. I guess it might be just mine.

Also mine seems to have 16 plastic bones rather than 14 o.0

Hmmm! I'll get one of these out to have a look at for you.

Have got one out and have the following measurements for a small:

Bust: 32" (measured across the top from side to side)
Waist: 25"
Hip: 32"

It does sound like you may have been sent the wrong size if you have the measurements you advise as there's no way this bustier can be any bigger without undoing the lacing a little.

I defo count 16 bones though!

Ok, thanks for checking =) It says small on the tag, but I guess sometimes mistakes happen.

I'll still submit my review later, as it's a nice piece of lingerie.

Thanks for rechecking the sizes for me ^_^ I feel a bit bad, because if I remember correctly, you're not a fan of velvet?

Hopefully, the next bustier I recieve will be a better size for me, it's still lovely, and sweet streak seem to be making them a lot better now. The one's I've had before have been hit and miss and felt rather cheap, but this one was rather nice =)

LOLS! You're quite right, I'm really not a fan of velvet. I've got much better with it though and can touch it without shuddering unless it takes me by surprise. Perhaps it'll grow on me, I do like the look. :) You're welcome, never an issue. Always happy to help!

Sweet Streak is so tricky, isn't it? None of the designs are alike and the sizes vary so much it makes a difficult task. It's unfortunate that the measurements weren't right on this one, sorry about any annoyance it caused. Always gutting when things arrive and don't fit, I share your pain!

You're spot on about SS's quality skyrocketing! I'm so glad they finally fitted a modesty panel and the fabrics are simply superb. All of those new ones are stunning, hand on heart. If my boobs are smaller and I was shorter I'd be all up on that action! I love this one best, it's so gorgeous Sweet Streak Overbust Satin and Lace Corset-Style Bustier

I agree, that one is very nice looking. I haven't had too many problems regarding my height and the sweet streak bustiers, they are a little short, but not too short, if that makes sense?

I've had this on my to-buy list for about 6months now (on another few sites), I've put it off as I wasn't sure about the sizing, everywhere said a different thing. Also it's not a Sweet Streak one, so I'm not sure how well made it actually is.

Size small measures:

27" across the top (underbust)

25" around the waist

31" across the bottom (low rise - hip depending on height)

I'd definitely say this is more of a 10, but we go by the size charts provided by the company. These are more similar to the High Street sizes.

The lace also has slight stretch, so would happily fit up to an inch bigger on these measurements

Looks like it's slightly too big, which i a shame as I've been looking for a lace see-through bustier. The only one I've found so far, which is likely to fit, is far too expensive.

I guess, if I can find some lacey material, I might make one. =)
