My order has arrived (opaque tube dress http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=32664 in L and halterneck http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=32656 in Plus - not stretched it's very nearly opaque as well) and the good news is that the items fit.

The bad news is that I really do carry a few kilos too many on my tummy and that I can't deny the effects of age and gravity on my breasts any longer. The worse news is that an inventory of my lingerie drawer showed that I don't have a single nice bra with removable straps. Which gives me a really solid reason why I have to buy at least one new bra (better several). Which should be good news - except I can't find what I need on the LH website!

Have I overlooked something? I'm searching for either a push-up bra (preferably moulded cups and/or padded) with removable straps. Or a really smooth, sleek corset (nothing with ruffles that would show under the dress), with removable straps or none at all (this one http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=27668 would work - if it was available in L, sniff).

I'm wondering how strong the seams on this one are http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=16664 - I mean it's only a corset style bustier, so not meant to actually reduce my waist... (according to LH's guide) And does anybody know about the sizing? There's two very different sizing charts shown with this product - according to the lingerie one I'd need an L, according to the bustier chart an XXL...

And I don't have time for returns and re-orders, I'm going on holiday in two weeks...

I'm not sure if that type of dress would work with a corest style lingerie. My wife also doesn't like her tummy for the points you have already made plus some stretch marks.

TBH knowing her as I do she wouldn't go for a dress like that as its too clingy but for something more conservative with some nice LH lingerie underneath like the corset quoted.

I'm not sure whether the dresses will work with the corset either, but I've ordered it anyway. A closer inventory of my lingerie drawer (it helps to pull it out - and to replace the burned-out lightbulbs in the ceiling lamp) has shown that I actually have one decent bra with removable straps (that's not enough, of course). And I have discovered that the tube dress works beautifully with a bra with nice black straps - it looks as if the straps belonged to the dress. So I ordered the Spoil Me push-up bra, hoping it will fit. But I wish LH made more bras with spectacular backs.

I'm getting used to the look of my tummy (or mabybe skipping dinner due to passing evenings in front of the PC has reduced it a little bit) and am beginning to fall seriously in love with those two mini-dresses! They are really comfy, stay in place surprisingly well, I like the bare shoulders look and I think they will be easy to care for (the material should dry quickly). I plan to use them as tops together with long skirts (which will hide more of my belly), by the way.

To use them as tops would work . My wife does this with some of the tunic type dresses .
