Want to ask if anyone here tried hearts of love butt plug? My girl is a beginner in anal, though she likes to stick there small vibrator. This plug look big on the picture, not sure if it is ok for the beginner!

Hey Backdoor man, and welcome to the forums :)

Just from first glance, I'd say that the Hearts of Love Suction Butt Plug probably isn't the best toy to choose for a beginner - dimensions-wise that might be throwing her in the deep end, and I don't know how ideal ridged design toys are for first timers. Perhaps you should settle for a basic/ simple butt plug to start off with, and work up to this?

The Tracey Cox Beginners Kit is specifically designed for such a user, and has been rated pretty highly by quite a few users on this site. (http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=9758)

If you wanted to get something considerably cheaper, possibly My First Anal Experience Small Butt Plug would be worth trying (although it hasn't been given the best write up). (http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=6971)

The Basix Mini plug is going for the same price (£4.99), but the lone reviewer has very positive things to say about it (coming from a beginner too). (http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=13990)

But a multi-pack of different sized toys may be the best idea if you do really like the look of this Hearts of Love plug - build up to that size gradually.

Is this a vibrator that's for sale on LoveHoney? On all of the product pages here, you can find a small section under the product description; How it measures up. I'd recommend comparing the circumference measurements on both of the toys, and this should give you an idea of the differences between them.

Best of luck in finding the right toy though!

My experience with beginner butt plugs is that they are nearly all designed to shoot out at the slightest provocation.  I would go with something which is designed to stay in place by itself, such as

They're harder to get in at first, but much more enjoyable once they are in.  Just be patient with plenty of lube and a tonne of foreplay, and they should go in (and down) nicely.  :)

I actually tried it for the first time last night. And I can safely say that I wouldn't recommend it to a beginner. It's rather large. However, even large "ordinary" butt plugs have a reather small tip and then widen gradually. With this one, once you get two hearts in, the third on is a huge girth difference on a very short distance. I can only say that the sensation is fanstic, but I don't think I'd enjoy it that much if it was my first time. I strongly recommend the Fun Factory Bootie butt plug that Lubyanka to posted above.

Aww that is cute looking. I'm not a fan of anal penetration, but it's an interesting design. Does look pretty huge though and a bit difficult to get in for a beginner.

I was also charmed by the looks on the picture. However, I was  a bit disappointed as in reality it didn't look that cute when I got it. The colours are a bit dull (I got the blue version) and the quality of the silicone could be better (especially to the fun factory products I got in the same order). But for the price, I'm well chuffed!

Just received it this morning.... It looks quite nice, but may not be as smooth as you think.  If you go for it - try it first before you might put your GF off anal for good....

Have you had a chance to use it now, LadiesMan? I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts.

Yeah... I didn't like it as much as I thought - I've posted a review actually.  It was really hard to keep it (erm how do i put this...) where it should be (it kept wanting to come out) and when it was in, it was fairly painful.

now bear in mind i am a novice at anal play, I don't put many things in there (prostate massager is nice, and sometimes the wifes dildo) but all in all - on reflection - i would have gone with something smoother (not ridged) as i think thats the painful bit.

I think it was the neck and degree of slope.  The neck has to get thin quite suddenly in order to keep an anal toy where it should be, and that hearts of love thingy looks like it has a bit of a more gentle slope.

I totally agree. I think if the hearts were the other way round, then it would be much better.
