Ive only just found the chat box! Yay, soon we will never need any other website ever!!!

 Wait wait wait theres a chat box? where?

 If you are in the forums and you have friends then it is on the right hand corner of your screen - it shows you out of your friends who's online. Very cool

Can't wait to have the Internet so I can access it from my pc! x

The chat boxes only seem to notice one or two people are on line.  If you look at - for example- the word association or good evening threads that are updated very often, the names of those posting only appear very rarely in the who's online box even for those like me with a relatively small circle of LH friends.  If this doesn't correctly flag, how is it ever going to work?  It could be part of the solution to the moderation question by allowing free chat that's not on any specific thread topic to carry- on without derailing the normal threads...but only if it actually reliably shows who's on-line.

There is an option to go offline so other people can't see you and start chat boxes do you think this may be why???

Don't they have to be your friends to 'see' them? You can't 'see' everyone. Sorry if that's an obvious statement...

I did have it last week where I was online and a friend couldn't see me in their chatbox, we had to log off & back on few times to make it work...

MTC you're right, Pinki was/is online posting like a mad thing as I wrote that note.

Just wondering if theres an easy way of seeing who has requested you as a friend, so I can confirm or not?

Yep.

Go to my account, scroll down to the bottom to see manage your friends list. Then manage it.

Thanks Wanda, I thought it must be around somewhere.  I keep thinking "My Account" means the shop part, and not the forum

I still think the availability doesn't recognise who's actually on at all reliably.  Try it yourselves while theres alot of posting going on and you know one or two of your freds are amongst them.  I say the feature is at best hobbled at present.

Mine doesn't let me open all my conversations. I don't think I have a problem with people online.

Not everyone has their chat set to "online" - I don't very often because I'm so busy posting on the forum and msn that I don't have time to use LH chat as well!

Yeah, like the facebook chat box. You have the option to show yourself offline. Can be useful like KP says, if you're busy doing other things online like reviewing or writing on threads etc. A convo can take up most of your time and you dont want to just ignore people incase they think you don't like them or something! I like that aspect of it! x MC x
