• Writing a review... Blocked??

    I've just spent a while writing my second review, but got an error message saying 'your request has been blocked', email customer support.

    I'm going to email them.

    Does anyone know why/how this happened? Have I done something wrong?

    I am sorry you are having trouble with our website.

    Do you have any ad blocking software such as Ad Block or Tor?
    Do you have any software to protect your privacy activated?
    Are you using a proxy site or in private viewing mode to ‘anonomize’ yourself when viewing our website?

    If the answer is yes to any of these please disable the software and try again.

    Do contact customer care if the issue continues

    I do use an AdBlocker, but I alwasy have - it wasn't a problem last time I wrote a review. I've emailed customercare.

    I'll try disabling the AdBlocker and see if that helps, thank you Leanne!

    Oh no. That's a pest. Hope you get it sorted.

    I've started writing my reviews on a separate notes section on my phone then copying and pasting it across as I've had problems with losing reviews when my phone or WiFi has gone funny.


    It's so time consuming to have to write it all again and I find it so much easier now to write, edit, save, copy and paste across and check it before submitting on the site and then I delete the note once I know it's gone through properly.

    This happened to me yesterday! I closed down the browser and waited 5 minutes and then tried again and that worked for me. Otherwise the other thing you could try is instead of clicking the link on your profile, going onto the product page and clicking "write a review"?

    Thanks everyone

    I've tried:
    - disabling AdBlocker completely.

    - restarting my browser
    - going through the product page 'write a review' link and the 'sex toy reviews' link

    Thankfully, I managed to click 'back' after the error message and rescue my review to copy it into Word... but I've had that error message about 6 times now :(

    Phew I am glad to hear the review was not lost !

    Have you also tried clearing cookies ? or cache( device dependant)

    Cookies cleared. Still no luck.

    I am sorry to hear this, I have just tried a test myself and all has gone through ok.

    Could you contact customer care with the following information please ?

    1. Which browser: Chrome, Firefox, IE etc

    2. If IE what version?

    3. What operating system or device: Windows / Mac / iPhone / Android home / Windows phone / Android Tablet / iPad
    4. Are you running and ad blocking software?
    5. What is the page they are you on?
    6. Which site?
    There may be a glitch and this way we can look into it further. Thank you

    Just tried in Chrome instead of Firefox. No luck.

    This is a bit frustrating, I'd love to be able to share my reviews and be a part of the community!

    This is very odd as I am struggling to locate what may be causing the issue. It is not happening across the board, which makes it harder to resolve. Please bear with us we will resolve as soon as we can.

    Hi again,

    I decided to leave it a while before trying to review anythng again, partly 'cause I'm disappointed.

    I logged in today and was able to submit a review for a different item with no trouble at all.

    Then when i went to submit the review for the first item, I got the same blocked message?

    Can anyone shed any light on this?

    It was the LH Excite orgasm gel.
    I've just submitted another review and it's gone through fine, it's just this item that's being troublesome!

    I'd just like to add to this, I've just this minute submitted a review for the LHM Leopard Print Thong. Got all the way through my review, submitted and got the error message, went back copied / pasted in to word, restarted everything and tried again, same, opened new window re submitted tried again, same.

    Changed the title of my review and it went in fine, now do Lovehoney have a policy on not allowing certain word or phrases into their reviews as per Jess's posts and info elsewhere? The reason I asked is that the title for my review was:

    I'm Not Sexy & I Know It! - But A Positive Review - Rejected

    I changed it to:

    Fun Little Thong - Accepted.

    For the record the reason I chose that title was the fact that I bought this to get a reaction from my wife - which it got I know I look daft in it!
