    Hi all

Just a reminder when 'reporting something' on the forum by clicking the report button you are asked to fill out a box to give more information. This is really important in helping us see the problem and resolve it faster.

    A) when you hit 'report' we get a link to the thread we cannot see which comment has caused the need for the report button to be pressed,

    B) We are not in on the conversation reading all replies and pages can build up pretty fast as you know, so before we know it we have 8 pages or more to read through to find the issue. Which is time consuming and we don't always see what's gone on straight away.

So please remember when reporting you need to give as much info as possible. Any of the below if helpful. Especially the name of the offending user. We wouldn't want to miss any form of rule breaking on the forum.

    - Date/Time

    - User name

    - Type out something they have said.

    Thank you.

Is there any way to report someone's profile rather than their posts? I've seen a couple pop up recently which have profile pictures that break the rules, but unless they've posted a message on the forum I can't see a way to do this.

    Thanks :)

    Hi Boogaloo,

If you see an image that break the rules the quickest way for us to see it is by reporting it via the report button.

I understand that if they have not posted then you feel you are unable to report them but do feel free to hit the closest report button you can see on your own or anyone else's post and clearly explain in the message box that pops up you are reporting someone's profile image not the comment you flagged.

Just be sure to tell us the offenders username... nature of the photo (optional.)

In extreme circumstances you can also contact our customer care team.

thanks for asking a valid question

    x

    Thanks Cazz :)

Not all of these people post on the forums, so I can't find any posts of theirs to report if that makes sense. In this case, is it not as important as they're not taking part in the community, or do you still need to be notified?

I probably sound like the profile police now! :p

Great to know Cazz, I always put the user name and usually what they have said but didn't know about the date/time. :)

Never had the need to but I've always wondered what lies past the little report button! Now I know :)

Whilst Lovehoney is a sex site, it's not a porn site, and they respect modesty. I for one appreciate this, as it makes it a much more welcoming environment.

Also, (I apologise if I've misinterpreted this) I have noticed that you've set your profile up similarly to a dating page - please bare in mind that Lovehoney is not a dating site, these forums are a place for friendly chat with like minded people. It's just a place to make friends :) You are also not allowed to share contact details, such as your email address, with other users which I can see you're offering on your profile page.

As for the note about nipples and genitalia etc, none of the nipple products on the lovehoney site display nipples, and genetalia products don't show real genitals (for instance some cock cages are shown on a dildo). As for why, it's a complicated Google thing, websites have a ranking and websites with nipples get a lower score :) I think that sums it up and hopefully that helps!

Why would genitailia and nipples be inapropriate since they do toys and things for those body parts?

Please read this post for a full detailed report as to why we cannot show certain body parts

I will now close this thread.

It was just a short post of information and I don't want it to be lost amongst a conversation.

    Many thanks

Yes, this is not a porn site, and people shoud have some respect. If you want porn the web is full of it.

I think you possibly need to appoint one or two weekend moderators that can catch up on spam and posts that are deemed as inappropriate .These would need to be on a voluntary basis and probably nonstaff .Other companies do appoint none staff to become moderators

It is gradually getting worse I think with the weekend gone noticably not a good one.

    Just an idea
