I read about this last night after seeing an email about it from LH. I wrote my first 1,000 words last night which I'm going to continue on today. Excited! =D

Entered!
Gem, can we also enter stories that we have aired on our blogs, too?
4. Only original, previously unpublished stories (this includes stories published online) are eligible for entry and no part of your story may be copied (wholly or partly) from anyone else's work.
Sorry Blueeyes82, unfortunately not :(

Just submitted a story, its my first proper attempt at writing erotica too.
A great excuse to start writing, I know its something I wouldn't of thought to try otherwise

I randomly started writing last night. Got to 1000 words and realised that I was nowhere close to erotica, and was writing a full novel, not an erotic quickie!
Guess I'll start again! Heh!

I'm finding this is what I'm doing, it's harder than I thought it would be!

Ahhh. I feel like such an idiot! I just made up a Pseudonym when I submitted my entry; I finally got a nice name that had a bit of a ring to it that I liked. I then realised, that even though I haven't even read Fifty Shades of Grey, it must be etched into my subconscious because the name I chose was 'Ella James'. Rather similar to E. L James methinks. I didn't even notice until I went on the blog and there the book was, staring me in the face.

I did not chose a pseudonym - decided that I don't need such a thing. I don't like lying about anything in my life. :)

Gah!
I can't do this! This story I'm doing is just made to be a novel, I think!
*Sigh* I'll see what I can do once I've reached the word limit, but I think I'm going to have to change the plot and start from scratch again..

If my story ever were put anywhere (doubtful, it's rubbish but I had fun!), and it had my real name on it, a lot of people, including colleagues would be looking at me very differently. I'm not ashamed of writing it or anything, I just can't afford the hassle.

I think I'll have to use a pseudonym as I absolutely loathe my real name! It would look awful in a book too... I need to come up with one though. I'm close, but not quite right. Needs a bit of tweaking. Would be fun to have a pseudonym, alongside my online alias that I love, Avrielle_Aniko.
As for the story, I've set it aside and tried it again with a different plot. Working better this time, but I just don't think it's quite right. :-/
May try a thrid one on (my back up story) top of that and then my inspiration will probably be lost.

My advice....................don't try too hard. Start with an intro to the main charater, explain the situation, then move into the story, let it flow naturally. I find if you sit and really think hard, you get no where.
@menyanthe you may feel that way but to have a handle is not hiding who you are ;) majority of famous writers are not actually using their full real name. I use my kinkster name, Mrs JoJo because she is my darker side ;)

I have a question? What was are you all writing your stories?
Mine is in first person throughout, as in I feel your cock, I scream etc... Is this what was meant by sticking to one point of view?

Yeah, try to stick with 1 POV i.e;
'The sun was setting on another simple day for Alice, she stood there with the evening's shadows casting over her pale skin.
I really wished he'd call, I hate not knowing whether or not I'm coming or going. Picking Up the phone, I selecting the redial option, hoping he'd pick up this time'.

Thanks Blueeyes! I thought so, I am wondering though if it's okay to write in first person?
