I should add that I don't llike short stories much - but I seem to be in the minority.

I just can't get into a short story but with a 'proper' story I can get a bit more invested in the characters and so its more believeable to me than -

This thread has made me a bit more intrigued to get back into erotic fiction. I read short stories online occasionally, but I was put off when I bought a book and it turned out to have absolutely no sex in it at all. It was soft core that was so soft i'd have been better off reading the problem corner of those terrible lifestyle mags.

Still a bit dubious tbh. I never really think that erotic novels will be terribly well written, and will either have great sex and no story or great story and crap sex.

Maybe the sparks come back from reading the Song of Ice and Fire books. there is enough sex in that to populate a small town.

I downloaded a sample of the story of o onto my kindle app i think i may just have to order the whole book now!
