I'm in the middle of reading The Darker Passions: Dracula by Nancy Kilpatrick writing as Amarantha Knight which is a BDSM tale twist of the classic Dracula story and it's awesome beautifully extreme in places. If anyone knows of anything else like this please let me know. Also, has anyone read the sleeping beauty book by anne rice I think it is. I love reading fetish and BDSM stories.

Also, I subscribe to skin two magazine and have read Scarlet (a little tame), Secrets and passion magazines - anyone know of any other good magazines that aren't just porn but are factual as well?

One magazine I know of is Desire. You can find it on the web at http://www.desire.co.uk. There is also Jade magazine but as you found Scarlet a little tame, I don't think it will be any good but here is the link anyway: http://www.greatnorthernpublishing.co.uk/jade.htm

The Erotic Review is probably one of the most intelligent and varied magazines on the market. Also it's run by women, so has good balance of female focus. It's also handily A5 sized, so can be stored away in your bookcase when you've read it.

The link is http://www.erotic-review.org/ but there's not much there in the way of content at the mo.

Are there 2 erotic reviews going at the moment? Wasn't the original sold but all the staff decided to launch their own magazine? I vaguely remember something like that happening... (Confused!)

Fresh Flesh sounds like it might be your kind of read: "Out of the shadows of myth an ancient masculine horror invades lesbian Europe..."

Have you seen http://www.dirtywords.co.uk ? More rude writings...

You mentioned Desire Magazine. I can tell you that it's a great publication - I subscribe to it. Very explicit, well written, plenty of good articles and stories. It's bi-monthly and they have a sister magazine Desire Contacts for the swingers out there. Doesn't cost a lot to subscribe, either. Well worth a try.

I found Scarlet wetter than Playgirl was twenty years ago. It is basically a typical womens' magazine but aimed at women who would like to buy something reasonably open minded but it is not a lot raunchier than the average Cosmopolitan and the articles aren't a lot more exciting.

When I got my free copy of Desire (they send out a sample issue to anyone who asks) it seemed kind of sleazy and badly produced. There was only one set of pictures and they were all of an unattractive couple and looked like the readers wives section of some of the more hardcore porn mags.

Forum always seemed excellently written but when I used to buy it, it didn't have any pictures and I like visual stimulation as well as erotic fiction.

I haven't found anything that suits me but I've been meaning to get hold of the Erotic Review for ages.

Thanks Queen Mab for reminding me and suggesting their website.
