Forget the BRITs and the BAFTAs, it's time to announce the winner of LoveHoney's Design A Sex Toy Competition 2009.

And the winner is...

DelOvely designed by Jenny Smith from Hampshire.

Congratulations to Jenny who wins £1,000 and the chance to have her design made in to a real-life sex toy.

Jenny's innovative idea received a unanimous vote from the judges.

"It's a simple idea, yet totally unique," said Design A Sex Toy judge, Bonny Hall. "Designed to give pleasure to women, men and couples, it's a toy with endless possibilities."

We're keeping the design and precise function of the DelOvely under wraps while we investigate the feasibility of making it, but we'll keep you updated with  developments as they happen.

From July to December 2009, I had the pleasure of watching my inbox fill with entries for LoveHoney's Design A Sex Toy Competition. 

From the erotic to the exotic, the wacky to the how-in-the-heck-did-someone-think-of-that, over 500 would-be sex toy inventors embraced the challenge.

Where has the G-spot gone?  If you had one in 2009 and its gone AWOL in 2010, then blame the boffins at King's College London.  According to these 'experts', the G-spot is sheer fallacy and 'doesn't  appear to exist'!

Now I may not wear a lab coat or have a Ph.D in Physics, but I do know from the popularity of our G-spot vibrator range, and the 'gushing' comments from reviewers (including the memorable 'I really do have a G-Spot  from launceston babe) to know that the G-spot, real or not, is giving lots of women lots of orgasmic pleasure!

I've never been one for speeches *ahem*, but I just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

The launch of the UK Sex Map hit the headlines in a major way this summer.

Breast cancer – two little words that can have a massive effect on any woman’s sex life. The medication prescribed for breast cancer and the draining side-effects of treatment can be an even bigger blow to your libido too.
