Put your party hat on and come join us in our appreciation of the orgasm and all its spine-tingling, lip-biting, toe-clenching, breathtaking wonder!
National Orgasm Day takes on a new relevance in 2008 due to a report in February in the Journal of Sexual Medicine by Prof Emmanuelle Jannini, who claimed that most women cannot achieve a vaginal orgasm because they lack a G-spot.
However, Lovehoney wants you to help prove that this is not the case! We believe that every woman has a G-spot, but the likelihood of you being able to achieve orgasm through it depends on your own sensitivity and response to stimulation.
Most women are unsure of how they can increase the sensitivity of the G-Spot and how they can stimulate it, but we have just the answer!
I was lucky enough to catch the first episode of MTV's "Totally Calum Best: The Best is Yet to Come" (d'ya see what they did there?!) on Sunday.
The basic premise of the show is that Calum Best, a well known ladies man and son of George Best, is going to prove that he is more than just a tabloid-courting Casanova!
And how is he going to do that? By going to LA for 50 days and 50 nights and remaining celibate for the entire time!
It seems strange that a man who wants to avoid sexual contact with women would go to a place which is full of beautiful ladies in bikinis, but he wants a challenge and he's sure to get one there!

In the Metro yesterday was an article on a couple who decided to have sex for 101 days as part of an experiment to see if it would spice up their love life.
Annie and Doug Brown set about the task after deciding that they needed something to really put the passion back in their sex life and could think of no better way than with regular, varied and exciting sex!
The couple, both with busy jobs and two young children to look after, found that they rarely had time for sex so had to really make the effort to get into it every day.
Sex and relationship expert Tracey Cox explains:
"When the sex is bad, it can destroy everything. When you become friends, not lovers, you put yourself at risk of an affair. But the more you have sex, the more you want it.
It's like having a chocolate bar every day at 3pm; eventually you will crave it every day. An orgasm is no different."
The Sun newspaper today features an article about kegel exercises and their benefits in regards to sex.
As reported in the National Orgasm Day Survey - women who claim to have a good pelvic floor have twice as many orgasms as those who don't. And having stronger pelvic floor muscles isn't just beneficial for the girls; upon penetration men will feel a tighter grip around their penis and a whole new world of vaginal sensations!
So how do you achieve these pubococcygeus muscles of steel? Through kegel exercises of course!
In a recent study highlighted in the Metro, they took a look at the life of a sex scientist - which, I can't lie, kind of made me wonder about a career change. For every story that shows up about how we feel about casual sex and if sex helps depression, there is a group of scientists out there getting the dirty job done in the name of fact finding. We might think we know all there is to know about sex - after all, how complicated could it be? - but Mary Roach thinks differently:
Researcher and author Mary Roach took a closer look at the laboratories, brothels and, er, pig farms, that feature in such findings. She discovered sex research is a necessity and that, regardless of how advanced medical science is, we still know little about some of the basic mechanics of human sexuality.
The first thing Roach makes clear is that sex researchers aren't weird. 'Most people think they are all perverts,' she says. 'Sorry to disappoint but they're all very nice, normal people.'
If you ignore the environmental impact, there are benefits to dating men in Europe, rather than staying "closer" to home, apparently. Since train prices are so darned expensive in the UK and with budget airlines dropping their prices to destinations abroad all the time, you may find that longer distance relationships are easier on your wallet than shorter long distance relationships.
According to the Sun:
A survey has found 20 per cent of British singles have given up looking for love in the UK and are seeking dates with foreign fellas.
And with train fares over here rocketing, it could be CHEAPER for a girl to have a long-distance fling with a man overseas.
Sue Johanson has decided to hang up the phone and end her successful TV call-in show, Talk Sex.
After many years and millions of phone calls the septuagenarian sex therapist has found the late night slot increasingly tiring.
The author and lecturer's first programme, The Sunday Night Sex Show, first aired on the radio in 1984 and ran for 14 years, and her practical (and sometimes blunt!) advice has proved a winning formula for decades.
However, you can still buy Sue's fantastic range of sex toys at Lovehoney, so it's not all bad news!

I'm sure that hardened Sex And The City followers will already know this, but it was news to us - it turns out that Mr Big has a name.
It's John James Preston.
It was only in the last episode of the Sex And The City TV series that viewers found out that Mr Big had a first name, so it's something of a shock to discover that not only has he got a surname, he's got a middle name in between as well.
We're not sure what bearing this information is going to have on Carrie's relationship with Mr Big - or the big part of him. And whether she'll be consigning her Sex And The City Rabbit Vibrator to the attic because Mr Big is providing for all her needs.
Somehow, we doubt it...
