• How Do You Like Your Eggs? Lovehoney's Week in Sex News

    Keith Haring TENGA Eggs

Here at Lovehoney we've been celebrating World Egg Day - and we're so eggcited!

Between TENGA eggs and vibrating love eggs, there's plenty of cracking reasons to shop at Lovehoney.

As usual, we've brought together the best in sex news from the web for your enjoyment. So sit back and enjoy Lovehoney's weekly sex news round up.

But it doesn't end there - because we're so excited about Egg Day, we've decided to give away a dozen limited edition TENGA eggs (pictured left, worth £9.99 each) to a dozen lucky readers!

All you have to do is comment on this blog post to enter. This competition runs until Friday afternoon, so get commenting and we'll announce the winner on Lovehoney's Week in Sex News next Sunday. Best of luck!

    • Speaking of eggs, did you know that people with no children prefer scambled eggs? Or that people who favour poached eggs tend to be happier and prefer upbeat music? According to a new survey for British Egg Week, you can tell a surprising amount about someone's personality by analysing how they like their eggs in the morning. So if you're looking for a lover with a strong sex drive, you should look out for those who prefer fried eggs. Do you think your food preferences reveal your sexual prowess?
    • As usual, we've scoured the web to bring you the best word of the week and this Sunday we've chosen gynonudomania. It may sound scary, but if you've ever had the urge to rip your lover's clothes off and make love to them, you're a gynonudomaniac! Why not celebrate by pouncing on your partner?
    • What turns women on? It’s a question men have been asking for generations, but one researcher has finally put her finger on it. Petra Zebroff has isolated the four types of sexual arousal in women: sensual, cognitive, intimate and attactor. Sensual refers to arousal by sensory factors, like touch or smell, while cognitive arousal is controlled by the brain, being kicked off by imagining or seeing sexual acts (eg watching porn). Intimate arousal is when you get turned on by sharing a connection and closeness with your partner. The last type of arousal Zebroff isolates is the attractor type - when we get turned on from seeing our partner’s arousal. Zebroff claims that knowing your arousal type is the key to reaching orgasm more quickly.
    • Now you can watch porn and help a good cause at the same time! Non-profit pornography website Come4.org is encouraging people to upload, share and view sexually explicit content, including videos and photographs. All revenue generated from advertising goes directly to charity. This "ethical" porn site begs the question: would you Come4 charity?

So, I'm wondering what my egg preference says about me. I like my eggs hard-boiled, so I can use my tongue to lick away the thin layers of the egg white until I get to the yolk (Yes, egg whites do have layers!). It's a great tongue exercise and perfect for oral practice. Since nothing was mentioned about those who prefer hard-boiled eggs, I'm just going to assume that it means I have an oral fixation. lol
    • rag doll: October 14, 2012 11:18
Fried eggs meaning a better sex drive is definitely true - my boyfriend loves them, but he doesn't like poached eggs which makes me (irrationally) worry about whether he's going to be grumpy all the time!
    • JackEagles: October 14, 2012 11:19
That Come4 website looks rather interesting. It might have to become my new preferred porn site!
    • Sue LolaPasha: October 14, 2012 11:50
what can I say about my egg preference?
eggs "take 4 minutes to get hard. Only 2 minutes to get soft." so my perfect egg would have to go on fire for more than 4 minutes... at least 30 minutes ;)
    • AliMc: October 14, 2012 12:02
I like my eggs fried or poached with a runny yolk, especially on a toasted bagel.
    • Alex: October 14, 2012 13:44
I just spent all my money so I can't afford to 'shell' out on one of these...
    • Kat: October 14, 2012 13:45
Scrambled eggs for me all the way, and I'm childfree so there might be something in that research!
    • goodgirl93: October 14, 2012 13:47
Im a fried egg gal :D but it has to have the yolk spread over the egg whilst frying and then flipped and cooked on both sides :D would love to know what this means about me!!!
    • Eloise: October 14, 2012 13:47
Tis true! I like scrambled eggs and I am childless, although for it to be edible there has to be cheese and ham involved.

    • Emma: October 14, 2012 13:48
      Eggy Bread all the way!!!
    • JDW: October 14, 2012 13:50

    • Tap Sum Bong: October 14, 2012 14:00
I have no issues with any style of egg.. Preferably unfertilised though....

On a serious note though, if you (if you're a nam reading this) or your bloke hasn't tried a Tenga egg. Get one. Simple as that. GET AN EGG!!! It may be a tenner or so, but if you want to blow your or your blokes socks off, get one. .

Dead simple to keep clean, well easy to use, and properly discreet in it's little plastic shell =)

Interestingly enough though, turn it inside out, and it's an ideal plaything for the lady garden! The wavy one especially ^__^

    • Nikki: October 14, 2012 14:01

I only eat scrambled eggs when I'm ill, really. Other than that, it's boiled all the way! Somewhere between hard and soft (shut up) is best.

    • Carys: October 14, 2012 16:25
I surprised the oh with an egg muffin for breakfast to make us feel better because we're both ill. He said he owed me. If I surprised him with one of these eggs to make us feel better (sex always has helped us clear up a cold), I wonder what he'd owe me after that ;)
How'd you like your eggs in the morning? I like mine with a kiss :)
    • lynn: October 14, 2012 16:54
Got to be fried egg with a soft yolk so it oozes out of a sandwich, yummy

    • Tom: October 14, 2012 17:03
I love a nice poached egg on a weekend morning. Can't beat it (no pun intended). I dunno about a poached Tenga egg though. There are far better uses for them.
    • Dan: October 14, 2012 17:39
      Dippy egg
    • James-Dean Summerfield: October 14, 2012 17:47
Guess this makes me a gynonudomaniac who loves fried eggs lol. Think that should be a good reason to send me a tenga egg :P
    • SubReiSkyeM: October 14, 2012 18:03
I completely hate eggs of all kinds, but my Daddy loves them. I think he'd do well with your giveaway egg, hehe.

Also, I'm surprised that there seem to be four types of female arousal and also that I fit into all of them. So much for knowing my arousal type! I think I mean more towards cognitive when I'm alone but sensual, intimate and attractor when I'm with Daddy. Weird.

    • Steve M.: October 14, 2012 18:06
These look fun, I had no idea it stretched before I saw this video, now I think I want to try one :D

I like poached eggs, pretty accurate I'd say! My other half seems happy enough.
    • Kasumi: October 14, 2012 21:48
      I prefer an omelette ;-)
"A middle class favourite, the omelette is eaten less frequently than all other egg dishes and finds its greatest fans in Sheffield, Liverpool and Newcastle. Omelette eaters tend to be reliable, well organised and self-disciplined. They are more likely to have tidy homes. Omelette fans may live longer and are less likely to get divorced."
    • Wolf Simpson: October 14, 2012 21:50
I love dunking my soldiers into my soft boiled egg....

    • Chris D: October 15, 2012 11:56
I wonder what my preference to "Cadburys Creme Egg" demonstrates?

Don't even get me started on how I eat it though ...

    • Jeremy: October 15, 2012 16:00
I like soft boiled duck eggs with crispy toast soldiers and a little bit of butter. Failing that, three of them fried and wedged between buttered bread with a tiny dash of black pepper- yummy!
    • Mark: October 15, 2012 20:00

    • Myke1982: October 15, 2012 21:57
I reviewed a tenga egg last week with the title "how do you like your eggs"
      Spooky Coincidence

Seriously good product leaves me scrambled !

    • Jacquie3167: October 15, 2012 22:04
I don't ususlly like eggs (meaning the edible kind), but I have never tried these so who knows, maybe this will be my egg of choice.
    • sweetlove666: October 15, 2012 23:58
I love poached or fried eggs that are runny. For me there's no point in having an egg without the runny yolk.

Fried egg sandwich is the ultimate treat food / hangover cure!

    • Little Miss: October 16, 2012 13:11
I love fried egg! So does my dad, that's a bit disturbing to know!
I tend to eat scrambled egg more (had some for breakfast!) but I look after children, so the childless isn't quite right.

The tenga egg loks very interesting! Off to check out that come4 site now :) x

    • denice: October 16, 2012 13:53

    • Go to work on an egg: October 16, 2012 16:05
I'm a recent convert to poached eggs yet I feel no happier and I still like my music downbeat so I'm not eggactly convinced of this egg based psychology!

However, I am intrigued to discover egg based toys that aren't for the girls. If I am lucky enough to win one, I'm eggpecting an eggtremely eggciting and eggtra eggstatic eggperience to follow.

Ok, enough puns, it's gone beyond a yolk...

    • carl b: October 16, 2012 23:27
