Which? Magazine Award for Lovehoney's Carbon Offset Programme
Lovehoney's environmentally friendly status has just stepped up a further notch.
Not only is there the brilliant Rabbit Amnesty sex toy recycling scheme, a range of recycled and recyclable packagaing and a wonderful collection of green and eco-conscious vibrators, condoms and other naughtiness on the site, but the July 2009 issue of Which? Magazine awarded the World Land Trust's Carbon Offsetting scheme - the very same one that we have used for many years - the prestigious 5 star rating.
Lovehoney makes an annual donation to the World Land Trust to offset the carbon dioxide emissions generated by the general operations of the company and the shipment of products from sources around the world to the Lovehoney warehouse in Bath.
This five star rating by Which? means that this is one of the best carbon offsetting programmes around and that Lovehoney are really doing their bit to conserve biodiversity and encourage sustainable living, working and playing!
Not only is the World Land Trust highly rated by Which? it is also popular with WLT Patron, David Attenborough:
"WLT's Carbon-balancing programme is a way of helping put back what we are taking away... Balancing carbon emissions with the WLT means that we are able to put even more back in to our key objectives - acquiring land for conservation."
