Sex Toy Storage

Most people are well aware of how to clean their sex toys but not necessarily how to store them. Sex toy storage can be the crucial factor in your pleasure products lasting a lifetime or just a few minutes, so it's worth doing your homework!

A discreet bedside drawer is always a great way to keep your sex toys hidden but it's often not the most organised of places and can result in your play things getting damaged, so read on to get some personalised recommendations.

Separate Living Quarters

The first thing to realise is that materials have a tendency to react with each other and for this reason; all your sex toys should be stored separately. Now, when I say separately, I don't mean at opposite ends of the room but a little space between each one is always a good idea.

Sex toy materials - particularly jelly, rubber and latex - are often manufactured in a way that leaves behind a slight residue from the chemical process used to form them. Although these materials are safe for bodily use, they are quite reactive when combined with each other or opposing materials.

Waterproof Sex Toy Kit

If you mix your jelly, rubber, latex and silicone sex toys, you may soon discover that they start to look melted or slightly misshapen so make sure they're kept apart!

A cheap and cheerful way to store your sex toys is to use cardboard boxes and envelopes (LoveHoney's discreet packaging is ideal for this!). Simply place each of your sex toys in a separate envelope, seal and store in a cardboard box. You can even write on the front of the envelope which sex toy is inside it for quick and easy retrieval!!

A lot of luxury sex toys now come with their own pouches and special boxes, allowing you to store them individually. A few of these simple storage sex toys include the Nomi Tang Better Than Chocolate Multi-Function Clitoral Message Vibrator, Death By Orgasm and the LoveHoney Ribbed Orgasmic Glass Dildo.

Give Them a Loving Home

All sex toys should be stored away from heat sources and direct sunlight in a cool, clean, dry location. It is also highly advised that you remove the batteries after each use and store them separately too. This will help to prolong the life of your favourite sex toy and keep it feeling and working like new every time.

All sex toys with electrical components should be stored in similar conditions but make sure to avoid any areas where there is excess moisture or damp - the bathroom cabinet is a big no-no!

Cleanliness is Next to Godliness

LoveHoney Sqwerty Advanced Sex Toy CleanerFinally, make sure your sex toys are cleaned before and after you use them. By spraying them down with LoveHoney SQWERTY Advanced Sex Toy Cleaner and rinsing with warm water, you will prevent dust and bacteria build up and keep them looking, feeling and - dare I say it - smelling like new!

But why is this important to sex toy storage? Well germs and bacteria can spread rapidly and if you're storing your sex toys in close proximity to each other, you'll soon find that these nasties begin to spread. By keeping them clean and tidy, you're minimising risk and maximising your fun!

thankyou very much for this advice, i had actually stored a few of my favourite rabbits together and noticed dimples in the material. Previously i assumed that it was the weight of the other toys causing this but now i have been correctly informed i will surely put this right!!
    VERY useful information!
i also did not know that lovehoney sold sex toy storage bags, will be sure to purchase one when the pay comes in at the end of the month :D

Still a little bummed that i didnt know this earlier as a new and quite enjoyed toy has just broken, probably because of improper storage!!
